Overview
In 2010 the owners Elizabeth and Sigi Gruner completely rebuilt hotel. As the first Design Hotel in the Ötztal, the Bergland has done much to redefine the concept of Alpine lifestyle: Wherever you look you will see the influence of nature, from the architecture which unites both traditional and modern, and the way in which the natural world is reflected in the hotel’s interior.
Both of the large cableway valley stations are just a short walk away and to cover all eventualities, the free ski bus stops just 50 metres from the hotel. The modern centre shuttle glides silently past the Bergland and offers a convenient connection to the skiing area.

The Bergland’s 86 design rooms and suites are incredibly cosy thanks to the vibrant vitality created by natural materials and warm colour tones. Wood, stone, felt, wool and linen are ele-gantly fashioned into a modern living space, creating natural surroundings, even indoors. Many of the bathrooms are only separated from the outside world by a glass membrane. At-tractive features including a Sky Bag, flat-screen TV, and Internet guarantee four-star superior comfort. Some rooms also have a couch and rocking chair plus a balcony offering panoramic views of the Ötztal mountain landscape.
