As far as French standards apply the staff were very helpful and accommodating and the room was of a very good international standard. The design and layout was attractive and appealing - especially the provincial styling. Dietary issues (allergies) were catered for well. The landscape setting was very charming
I would not eat at the restaurant regularly because it only offered a very expensive menu. If you are travelling for some time such a menu becomes unaffordable. For us location was a serious issue. As international guests, we did not realise that the hotel was so cut off from the local towns. This needs to be better explained. We would have preferred accommodation walking distance to Les Baux or one of the other villages - because they were a strong part of the appeal of the area. The garden was not finished and there was no temporary signage to reception. You've travelled hundreds of kilometres, lugging suitcases over loose gravel and no one helps you locate reception or assist with carrying the case. It was a very bad initial impression.

I found the place absolutely charming and done to a high standard. My bedroom was lovely and large; the common areas are extremely pretty; the restaurant is very attractive and the food was wonderful. Unfortunately it rained while we were there so we did not have a chance to use the pool -- but it too was lovely. I definitely want to go back to this hotel.

Everything contributes to a lovely peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. The interior decor is very relaxing and tasteful, the surroundings delightfully 'provencal'. Lovely main building and confortable bedrooms, very nice pool, green lawns and even the use of 'petanque' boules. A huge bonus was that every single member of staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had high expectations for a big family celebration gathering three generations and every detail was perfect, including a very nice dinner. If only we could have stayed longer....
Nothing major. Just one thing we noted: coming from Maussane there are no signs on the road indicatin g that the hotel is near. It is very easy to miss it.

This is the most charming establishment. The beautiful grounds are conducive to relaxing. The reception by the staff was exceptional. The attention to detail and well deserved pride that comes from running such a high quality hotel were obvious. The rooms are situated in a lovely garden and are spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything has been very well maintained. The dining room is also lovely and the food was presented nicely. The pool area is situated very nicely in the garden and again well maintained. Highly recommended. We were treated with warmth and sincerity.

The relaxing atmosphere and the location.
The proximity to the road although practical for access I could imagine could be noisy in the summer period. This is only noticed pool side and not in the hotel itself.

Main hotel building. Pool. Location.
Bait and switch. This is yet another hotel that advertises its newly renovated rooms yet puts people into old rooms that have not been renovated for decades. I had no idea that these rooms even existed. Mine room smelled of 'granny's house' and the bathroom looked like something out of a 1970s sitcom. Even the mattress felt old with springs digging in your back. The main hotel has been beautifully done with a shabby-chic feel. This made me only feel that I was part of the help. Unless you know you can get one of the nicer rooms, I would avoid this hotel. The service, however, was friendly enough.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a luxurious 4-star hotel in Provence. This place is situated in a very sunny area, making it the perfect destination for those seeking a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. The hotel provides top-notch service, with room service, housekeeping, and laundry facilities available to guests. The staff are incredibly accommodating and helpful, and they even speak perfect English, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The room I stayed in was brilliant, with a balcony that offered stunning views of the surrounding gardens. The hotel itself is quiet and peaceful, and the ambience is very Provencal and lovely.
I highly recommend this hotel to all my friends.

Benvengudo is a beautiful small hotel, inn at the foot of Les Baux. A long-standing business of 45+ years, it has an understated but refined flavor with herb gardens, lovely grounds, and terraced entry. The rooms (the one we occupied) open to the garden and terrace and are simple but beautiful. The restaurant was closed when we stayed as it was the final weekend of their season; they are closed form the beginnig of Novto March. I would recommend this, certainly we will stay there if our tarvels take us back to Les Baux again.

We had the most relaxing stay at a charming hotel nestled in the heart of Provence. The pool and loungers were practically all to ourselves during the weekdays. The newly renovated room was immaculate and had stylish fittings. Despite being close to the road, it was surprisingly quiet during our jogs in the local lanes.
