One of the leading Swiss first class hotels, Hotel Belvedere, is highly recommended by travel guides and a member of the French Gourmet Association “Chaine des Rôtisseurs”. The hotel has sensational views of the famous Eiger and neighboring mountains.
The family owned Belvedere has received the highest quality award, the Q2 presented by the Swiss Hotel Association. In 2007, it celebrated 100 years in operation and is managed by the third generation of the Hauser family.
Located in the city centre it is not far from various picturesque peaks and mountains.
The spacious rooms and excellent cuisine prove the high level of standards at the hotel. You can organize different meetings, conferences and events in seven meeting rooms, which accommodate up to 120 people.
Belvedere Hotel also has a spa area with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Finnish and bio sauna, steam bath, outdoor salt water Jacuzzi, and massage and beauty treatments.
The Grindelwald Mountaineering center offers a large variety of courses and tours for beginners and advanced climbers and hikers, all year. In summer, visitors find over 300km of well marked walking and hiking paths in Grindelwald valley. Guided hikes are available. Furthermore visitors can enjoy fishing, golf, mountain-biking, mini golf, river rafting, swimming, tennis, indoor ice-skating/ice hockey and paragliding.
Grindelwald is situated at the foot of three world famous mountains the Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau. Here, you can see glaciers which are easily accessible in comparison with others in other regions of central Europe.
