Bel Air Collection Resort & Spa Cancun

The location is great with a wonderful beach - very wide for lots of walking and swimming.

Great location at the beach and shops is only a bus ride away.

I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the hotel's location as its about a 25 minute bus ride from most of Cancun's main attractions but apart from that I can't really fault it.

Restaurants, bars, nightclubs are either 25mn bus away (dirt cheap) or 10mn taxi away (about US$5 one way).

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel from the very moment I stepped foot in the lobby.

As it is the standard for everything that you do around Mexico, tipping goes a long way to keeping your room clean and bed made.

An excellent place if you only want a great room, a nice beach, a massage + want go to bed at 10:00 pm.

We got a Kool Lanai suite with jacuzzi (room, bathroom, jacuzzi and living areas are a great size).

One of the bed side lamps didn't work, the coffee maker was jammed into the TV stand making it impossible to open the lid to pour water into it.

Water pressure was horrible (in just the shower, not the hot tub), and a couple times a smell came up from the pipes in the bathroom.

In addition, bear in mind that it does not offer a variety of restaurants or shops or anything and that room service, the lobby bar and the restaurant are gone by midnight.

You should note that they have a funny system where you have to sign for all the food and drinks you order at the restaurant and bar.

Have a pool BBQ for lunch since the dining room lunch menu is generally not great- enough of the "fusion", decorative meals at breakfast & dinner.

The staff in the restaurant and bar were very accomodating.

Then, all of a sudden the restaurant was split into two restaurants.

The manager, front desk and reception staff were always charming, friendly and helpful.

We had intended to tip at the end of our two week stay, but after one week we began tipping for each service and actually found this well worth the increased personalized attention from the waiters and bar staff.

The staff gives great service during your stay and big rooms.

The music around the lobby, + especially around the pool area, is extremely boring & annoying (same 3-4 Spa music CD's played over & over.

The infinity pool is great, and there is a bar area in the pool, conjoined with a jacuzzi.

The music at the pool is spa music but also has a sound of being middle eastern sometimes.

The free wireless internet offered at the hotel was a great bonus.

Rooms are exceptionally clean and spotless, newly and elegantly decorated with minimal but trendy furniture.

Loved the ocean view from room balcony and beach was clean.

Bathroom were spotless and the food was tasty.

Clean room and great staff at the pool bar.

Housekeeping service is second to none, as they often clean the room up to 3 times a day.
