Comparing to all other hotels in Victoria by the inner harbor, this hotel is great for the value, quality and location.
The location is superb, this hotel is great for the value and the beds are SO comfortable.
However, given the price and location, this hotel met our needs for a short stay.
While the location was excellent, we felt the hotel was way overpriced.
Fantastic location and the hotel is well located.
If location is key this place is great, but there were a few other hotels nearby that might have a leg up on service.
The location of this hotel was excellent--very central and close to everything.
The location was great - walking distance to everything.
What we were not told was that the parking was in an underground lot that could only handle vehicles up to 6’2” high, and we drive an SUV.
Unfortunately, the rooms with twin beds are extremely cramped and the bed positioned in front of the television was so soft that it should have been replaced.
The tub and sink were separated from the bedroom by a moving screen, but the toilet itself was in a small, separate room.
It was a nice room, good bed, comfortable place to hang out and we ate breakfast in their restaurant.
If you can afford the extra cost and can share a bed, be sure to book a deluxe room at this property.
The room was nice with a wood burning fireplace, but the bed wasn't terribly comfortable.
The restaurant (where you get your free breakfast) was TERRIBLE.
We went for breakfast and ALL the dishes were dirty, with full lipstick stains on everything, and the waitress was rude.
But they do not serve breakfast and any hot meal at all.
We were shocked and disappointed that we did not have nice breakfast at all also hot meals.
Many interesting ethnic restaurants and the seafood was delicious.
Great location downtown Victoria across from the Bay Mall, hotel très central and the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.
Problem #6: Front desk staff not very competent.
By chance, the staff member who was occupying the hotel unloading area arrived at the front desk - was extremely rude - and refused to move her vehicle.
We were told that the lobby and reception area are scheduled to be renovated, but the rooms are also in need of a face-lift.
The lobby was sparse but that was of no concern.
The hotel provided parking down the block for CDN$10 a day (with unlimited re-entry).
For those of you who needs to go on the web daily (like me), the hotel provides free wireless internet connection.
We were in our warm, clean room within 3 minutes of our arrival on a freezing afternoon after a long trip.
The room was nicely made every day, and it felt clean.
The bathroom was fun with alot of old, clean tiling.
Yes, but the room was comfortable, clean, well priced and super conveniently located!
The room itself was fine, (room #36) and clean which was good, but we had a very big problem.
