      The hotel is convenient to many other parts of Gulf Shores and the restuarant across the street, Bahama Bob's, was a good value place to eat.

      Compared to the condos and other hotels, the Beachside Resort Hotel is in good shape price-wise.

      This hotel is certainly not worth the money paid.

      But in the end, what made this hotel wonderful was that we got all this great service for the cheapest price (BY FAR!

      They were the only hotel in Gulf Shores that would guarantee us that we'd have a room connecting door for our two rooms and they gave us a listing of numbers for local water sport rental companies that were reputable.

      The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

      The carpet, sheets and bathroom was filthy in the new room that was given to me.

      It looks like they tried to cover up the mildew problem in the room and bathroom with paint.

      The room was a corner room whith huge windows (and a nice view, though we did not have a beach view).

      If you plan on a big fancy continental breakfast forget it!

      The free continental breakfast was not spectacular but then they usually aren't.

      One cool thing is that they are directly across the street from Bahama Bob's restaurant.

      It was an OK stay, however don't count on anything other than little debby cakes for breakfast.

      I guess "Deluxe continental breakfast" can mean many different things to different people.

      The staff were very helpful at check in even though we made a last minute request.

      Also, when we departed I went to the front desk to check out, and told them instead of my visa being charged, I wanted to pay cash for my stay, which I did.

      We loved the pool on the third floor because thats the floor we were on.

      I loved the second story pool, it was really neat the way it's built.

      We were on the third floor next to the pool, which was kind of fun, except when a pack of young men scaled the pool fence and partied loudly all night just outside our door.

      And the wireless internet didn't work on the 3rd and 4th floors.

      The wireless internet was as slow as Christmas, but serviceable for the bigger web sites.

      The rooms are clean and comfortable, not to mention what a stunning view.

        We booked this hotel because it had reasonable rates and had available rooms. The room was very large and the service was good. The hotel is convenient to many other parts of Gulf Shores and the restuarant across the street, Bahama Bob's, was a good value place to eat.

        When we got to our room the carpet was wet and the room stunk.

        The room was nice wasnt what I told it would be but it was still nice.

        We loved the pool on the third floor because thats the floor we were on.

        In room safe was filthy bugs in it cobwebs no coffee maker.

        Also, when we departed I went to the front desk to check out, and told them instead of my visa being charged, I wanted to pay cash for my stay, which I did. The accounting manager asked if I had a receipt, when I replyed no. I asked her if she had a camera in the lobby, she said she didn't know what that would do, and I told her that it would prove that I paid cash with my transaction, and that also, her books for that day should show where someone had overpaid for the number of rooms that were rented. I feel like the employee pocketed my cash.

        Once I even left the charger for a friends portable DVD player in the room on accident and when I called they said they'd keep it for me.

        Got our room key, the door would'nt unlock, Went back to office received new card key. He unlocked the door said go in but when I ask him about our key to get in to the room , his response was I don't know. Went back to office they gave me another room next to the pool area. The Room smelled like old milldew carpet. Wife swears the bathroom smelled of urine.
