We found an incredibly cheap deal on the Booked.net website and we found the hotel great value for money.
The Cipriani is next door so you can eat there if you've loads of money or catch the hotel shuttle across to ST Marks.
I loved this hotel for it's location and the plush rooms.
The location was quiet, and the view of St.
The location is perfect, just five minutes by the complementary solar driven boat to mainland Venice.
The hotel organised our transport from the airport (a shared taxi at 30 euros each well worth it).
The following day we wanted to book a water taxi to the airport from this same hotel and a very digruntled concierge told us we needed to book it from the Palladio.
The room was a nice size and had a huge comfy bed, complete with bath robes and slippers.
The double rooms are an average size with a comfy bed and nice marble bathroom.
The room/suite was a very nice size, bathroom was great and amenities awesome.
The best part of the room was the bathroom - a lovely deep bath and a separate huge shower.
Bathroom - no hooks - anywhere, so had to leave towels and robes draped on wet bath or on floor.
Although we did not eat at the hotel restaurant, the breakfast was lovely and it was literally eat as much as you want!
Downside is there isn't really a nice indoor bar where you could have a quiet drink in the winter months (well you could in the breakfast/dining room, but it's not quite the same!
First we learned that the hotel does not offer dinner on Tuesdays (something the "A" team failed to tell us), so our only option was the bar's snacks menu or taking the shuttle to eat at the other Bauer hotel or at some other restaurant.
And the bar doubles as the breakfast area too (and closes at 2300).
Do not expect attentive service in the bar or at breakfast.
The reception manager and the housekeeping staff were exceptional.
Good hotel - Well away from the madding crowds, the best personal service I have ever encountered -wonderfully helpful staff and we didn't see much need to.
They walked us to our room and told us what the hotel had to offer and the services provided, times of restaurant hours & boat service to San Marcos.
The hotel is reached by a 5-minute vaporetto journey from San Zaccariah( St Mark's) stop, as well as a free shuttle baot from the terrace of the sister hotel, the Bauer Palazzo.
The evening menu is very limited for a 5* and the Spa prices are very expensive also but that would be our only negative.
Also the corridors are spoilt by the unsighlty orange lift doors.
Some free wireless internet access would be very thoughtful, even if it was in a public area downstairs.
The room we had was spotless and spacious.
We were also told at check-in that there would be an extra 20 Euro charge (10E per person) for house keeping to clean the room.
Fresh eggs, cereals, smoked salmon, delicious fruits, homemade baked goods, & fresh tomatoes & mozarella awaits you in a sunny room, which, also, has an outside terrace.

Чудесный отель, где можно прочувствовать весь шарм и очарование Венеции. Между отелем и площадью Сан-Марко постоянно курсирует катер отеля, бесплатно перевозящий гостей. В отличие от отелей, расположенных вблизи оживленных водных магистралей, здесь тихо и спокойно. Можно вечером открыть окна в номере, и при этом с улицы не будет доноситься шум. В другом отеле приходилось выбирать между духотой в номере и шумом на улице. Сам номер очень красивый, в оформлении много мрамора. Поесть можно на верандах, с шикарным видом на лагуну, еда здесь превосходная, очень нежный и насыщенный вкус. Но все-таки главный козырь отеля – его расположение. Очень удобно. Для посещения Венеции это самый лучший вариант.
Сервис не очень понравился – почти 15 минут ждали администратора для регистрации.
