Located in the central area of the Riviera Maya city, the five-star Barcelo Maya & Caribe Beach is situated not far from the city of Tulum and Carmen Beach.

Renovated in 2009 the hotel’s façade features a traditional style which is complemented by the elegant and comfortable interiors.

All 408 rooms are air-conditioned and feature Wi-Fi internet access, mini bars and satellite TV.

  The pool is amazing and the beach, the grounds of the hotel are very beautiful clean, lunch is also a large buffet that is included in the price.

  Beach and pool were great, overall the food selection and quality in the buffet area was excellent, the Japanese was by far the best and the steak house was my least favorite. Staff were very helpful, room was clean and the meals at the others were good. The facility was amazing.

  The beach is beautiful, good service, above average food, this place is great and the staff in the restaurants are terrific and helpful. The pools are really big.

  The beach at tropical/colonial were by far the best of the barcelo resorts and all the staff were great in every way. The rooms were clean, the buffet food was overall good and the Japanese was the most entertaining and fun. The pools were beautiful and lots of activities going on.

  The beach and water in front of this resort is gorgeous, at the hotel you can find agents can offer you good excursions, the restaurants are better than the buffet. The grill next to the pool at the colonial is wonderful for lunches.

  Beautiful Spanish style and clean, clean, clean, great place. The hospitable staff and rooms spotless. For the best bar and nice robes. Buffets were all good.

  Great hotel and very friendly staff. Air conditioning worked well, all the al la Carte restaurants were air conditioned and excellent, the Italian and the Japanese were all good, good service.

  All the staff at this resort were very friendly, the balcony was a nice touch for our morning smoke and dinner buffets were excellent lots for great fish. Pool was good.

  Hotel was dirty and a mouse was in the room adjacent to us, beach were closed to our right facing the beach.
