You only spend about $50 more per night than other nearby properties, but you can't beat the fantastic location.

The resort has an ideal location—quiet, yet close to everything.

This place has the best location in town, right next to the main dock and also has it's own dock that you can take the Margaret Todd from.

Once you're parked there, it's easy to get around on foot.

I don't think they were thinking when they started a foot path in front of the decks of the hotel.

We booked a suite so we had our own locking door room with a King bed and TV and the boys had their own locking door room with two large--queen?

We booked two rooms: a two bedroom family suite for our daughters and grandchildren, and a regular motel room for my husband and I.

The room itself was spacious, the bed comfortable, the bathroom HUGE - just overall the best hotel room I've seen.

The room was huge, with a king sized four-poster bed, a large sitting area, and a nice bathroom.

Back to this recent stay - I had room that was a two bedroom suite with no balcony but nice view of the harbor from both rooms.

My fiance and I booked an Autumn Special at the Bar Harbor Inn which included 3 nights plus a Continental breakfast each morning, one dinner in the Reading Room Restaurant and a $20 gift certificate to their own gift shop.

Many restaurants and bars were not open but we found good meals at Geddys, McKays, and Route 66 and Learys Landing Bar next to Route 66 for a light snack and late drinks.

Also - don't eat in the restaurant -- much better food and prices in the many nearby restaurants.

Coffee was available in the office, however, there was no breakfast served, and we had to go to a restaurant ( Log Cabin restaurant was horrible- terrible service and food!

There were many shops and places to eat, not your normal fare but seafood galore along with several other eating venues, the hotel itself had a breathtaking veiw from their own restaurant which had a wonderful menu to choose from.

From the moment you arrive, the doorman, the front desk staff, the gift shop staff, The Reading Room dining room staff, the free Contintental Breakfast buffet staff, and last (but certainly NOT least) the maid who cleaned my room every day.

And all of my dealings with the staff (front desk, housekeeping and waiters) were positive - they were professional, friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff very friendly and informative, the guest services superb, the rooms had some well thought out planning.

It had a beautiful pool and a nicer lobby, arguably, but our room was smaller and had no little refridgerator in it.

A fitness center and spa is located on site and a 1-mile running/walking path runs right in front of the Bar Harbor Inn.

Friendly place to stay, we also partook of the free hot chocolate in the lobby all day and the personnel were welcoming and pleasant.

It does have Wi-fi- which is a must for me if possible.

The place was spotless, the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The beds were comfortable and the pool was crystal clear and heated.

The standard king room we had was clean and tidy, but nothing particularly special.

Great location with bus stop for Bar Harbor directly outside the Motel, although it's only a 15 min walk to the town, great rooms, plenty of space and kept clean and tidy.

Clean, spacious - especially the bathroom.
