                Getting there.

From the Calgary International Airport it is advisable to take the coaches or vans that will get you to the hotel. There are numerous rental car companies at the airport. Driving time from the airport to the hotel is approximately 2 hours. The Valley Connector runs between Canmore and Banff.

                Getting around.

During ski season there are shuttle buses to the ski resorts. The Banff townsite is small and well walkable. River, forest and mountains are a short walking distance away. The town’s public transit bus system is efficient and runs through the entire town.

We used to live in Banff and had never stayed at Banff Park Lodge previously. It is a super location, right downtown, so we were surprised to find such reasonable pricing. We met lots of old friends there, so it is very local friendly. The food is excellent and consistent. The room was clean, quiet and well appointed. We would stay there anytime, and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Banff area.

                  9.0

The steam room, jacuzzi, Chinook restaurant, the Terrace bar and restaurant, the bed, the space in the room, the decor in the room.

Chinook restaurant closed too early, the long walk from Rundle elevator to the Lobby for friend with arthritic knee.

                  8.4

Very good location to downtown Banff and shopping. Very nice rooms and decore.

Booked standard room and should have stipulated "View" room. Had a nice room with balcony with wonderful view of a wall. Understand, perhaps, a charge for indoor parking (not mentioned in hotel data) but the additional charge for internet access was a charge which was unexpected and unwelcome.

Very good value. Excellent services. Ease of access. Excellent quality and facility maintenance. Great location. Would keep coming back to this hotel.

                  can,t think of anything negative.

Quiet, walking distance to main street Banff. Rooms were comfy and the food at Chinook was good.

Climate control in the rooms was not good at all.

The location in Banff was great. The room was clean and it was nice to have a balcony. The steam room was great

                  Fitness room was very small

The most beautiful room we had during our stay in Banff. We were impressed by the hotel, boutiques, rooms, steam room and spa. Personnel was very polite. In one word: magnificient for the price.

                  9.6

I really enjoyed Banff Park Lodge. The rooms were nice and clean. The beds were comfortable especially after the long hikes we took. The best ammenitity at Banff Park Lodge was the steam spa. It was scented with Eucalyptic (spelling) steam and was absolutely awesome. So relaxing and soothing. They also had a great jacuzzi and pool but the added bonus to the pool area was the inbetween pool. It adjusted your body from the Jacuzzi to the pool. They have a beautiful view in the dining area plus signature drinks in the bar. The underground parking would be an added bonus all year but especially in the winter. We could walk to all the shopping and resturants in the area since it was just across the street.

                • Couple
                  7.8

                  It was very central.

Thought for the price of the hotel they would at least offer free wifi. We'd stayed in cheaper hotels in the Rockies over the weekend and they provided it so we were surprised when we had to pay extra for it. You also have to pay extra for parking. The food in the hotel was also quite expensive if you miss out on the 2 for 1 buffet. The lighting in the rooms was quite dark as well.

                • Family with children
                  7.4

Good location in Banff close to all amenities. The pool is nice and the rooms comfortable.

Not used to having to pay for parking. Especially outdoor parking.

The price point was great! The availability of rooms (we needed five) was awesome! The location is excellent to Banff Avenue so that you are within walking distance of everything. We will definitely be back. Thank-you!

The hotel was situated within easy reach of the centre and other local attractions. We ate in the bar area and the food was very nice and well presented. Mathew (bar man) was very attentive and was clearly knowledgable about the drinks and the menu. I would award 5 stars for his service. Also liked the secure underground parking facility.

Tv was a waste of time. On/off switch was stuck in which meant it kept switching on and off and changing volume or channel was near impossible.

The location is perfect (a block off mainstreet) and is within walking distance of many restaurants and coffee shops. The service was good. Check-in was seamless. Room was tidy. Not much more to ask for in a one- night stay.

Did not like my stay very much other than the staff I have stayed in much better for a cheaper price

I liked th steam room, hot tub and pool the most. The comforter on the beds were excellent!! The mattresses were very comfortable!

I didn't like parking and internet were not included into the price, that seemed a little rediculous! I didn't like that the plunge pool wasn't working.
