Excellent location close to beach, then this hotel is an ideal choice and the breakfasts are great.

Ocean location is just amazing, i liked the look of the hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect for the needs that we had - the facilities could have been better, the beds were comfortable and clean, the staff in the restaurant was very attentive and friendly.

The location is good as you are across the street from the amusement park on the beach and street vendors.

The location of the Balmoral is on the lower end of Marine Parade.

Negatives: we requested a non-smoking queen size room and recieved a smoking room with two twin beds pushed together with seperate bedding.

The rooms are very small, not conducive for a family trying to occupy just one room.

The beds were comfortable and clean, although the shower did some serious leaking onto the bathroom floor.

The TV in the room only has 5 or 6 channels to choose from.

But the water was brown in that room too.

Views were spectacular in the early morning the sun rise, the buffet breakfast was great and helpful staff at check-in - for some reason my booking was.

The best part of this hotel was the breakfast.

The staff in the restaurant was very attentive and friendly.

The complimentary breakfast is good at the beginning of the week, but once Thursday is reached they have a limited selection and place out all that they have left-over basically.

Each morning we ate on the verandah over looking the ocean.

Polite throughout the duration of our stay and staff - friendly.

Quick overnight stay and the staff friendly and helpful.

Secure place and staff very helpful and friendly.

The view was excellent and hotel staff were very friendly.

We complained to the reception early the next morning, but when we came back from our day trip - neither the A/C nor the water were fixed.

Staff very friendly, really liked the place and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

The View was amazing, all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the beds were comfortable and clean.

Location was good, overall the hotel room was clean and efficient - staff were friendly - facilities were adequate.

    Excellent location close to beach, then this hotel is an ideal choice and the breakfasts are great.

    They should not accommodate kids in the double rooms as is to small for a family and at the dinner table I ordered a bottle of nederburg rose. The facilities are abit old.

    Postives: there is a safe in the room, the security of the place is great, and they have a shuttle to the airport and back for an additional cost. The complimentary breakfast is good at the beginning of the week, but once Thursday is reached they have a limited selection and place out all that they have left-over basically.

    The tourism attraction is just amazng for some one driving alongside N3 from johannsburg and stay away - there are far better options for accomodation in Durban. The rooms are spacious and elegant, the breakfast is good.
