I stayed at Balbirnie House with my family over Christmas, and from the moment we arrived, we felt like honored guests. The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The interiors and exteriors were beautifully charming, especially when lit up for Christmas. The food, from Christmas lunch to breakfast and afternoon tea, was delicious. We also appreciated that Balbirnie House is genuinely dog-friendly, unlike many other so-called dog-friendly places.
Can recommend this hotel.

One of the best hotels in Scholland. A lot is just right. Very large with many rooms such as library and lounge for use. Excellent food in the bistro, breakfast in the orangery. Large cozy rooms. Free parking. Beautiful garden and right next to the park and golf course. Visually a dream setting. We were there for the fifth time and will be back.
Nothing. If you search, the pebbles on the driveway are a challenge for the suitcases.

Attended a beautiful wedding at Balbirnie and had a delightful stay. Friendly staff, reasonable drink prices, and a free room upgrade made it even better. Food was excellent throughout our stay. Highly recommend for those seeking quality, service, and a nice location. Loved it!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The hotel had beautiful paintings throughout and plenty of seating areas for reading and relaxing. The staff in the bistro were nice and the food there was good.
I found the staff to be inexperienced at times, with confusion over signing bar bills and lack of attentiveness in the public areas. I was never asked if I needed anything during my time there.

The hotel was very quiet, and our room was on the ground floor.
Our room was fairly small and there was a cold draught from the window

The value for money was excellent, especially with the last-minute deal we got. The room was spacious, quiet, and had a large comfortable bed. The staff at Balbirnie House were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
More breakfast choices would have made the meal even better.

the rooms are ultra large, very clean, original victoria features enhanced and staff are very dedicated on serving you to the best of their abilities
The room service is timely but very inaccurate - they have constant difficulty managing to deliver even basic tea and toast without providing simple things like plates or knives or cups. Would also suggest if people check if conferences or functions are being held as if so the facilities for guest disappear as in our two experiences day conferences took up every facility and uunable to have a quiet coffee area for meetings

Returned to Balbirnie this weekend for DBB. Wonderful. The experience was fantastic. Didn't need to ask for anything, but if/when I did, it was delivered with delight. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was excellent. I simply relaxed at this hotel. Well done to all the staff. I'll be back! I highly recommend this hotel.

Althought the hotel was full and there was a wedding at the venue, we were not affected by any noise whatsoever. We found our stay very peaceful. The staff were excellent and the service - reception, restaurants - was very good.

I had a wonderful stay at Balbirnie House and was impressed by the personal touches. The Turkish manager, Erdal, made our anniversary celebration even more special with a handwritten card and an upgraded room. The room itself was fantastic, with complimentary bottled water and Tunnocks teacakes. Dinner at the Orangery was a triumph, and the service was impeccable. I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel.
