Plus, the hotel is located about 5 minutes (walking) from the beach / shopping / restaurants, so we certainly couldn't complain about the location.

I liked the location of the hotel because it is so close to alot of areas.

The location so close to the beach was excellent.

The resort is close to the airport, convenient to bus stops, Seaworld, and the beach.

By the way Parking was also free, most hotels we stayed at before require a huge fee for parking and require us to park underground or on a parking structure, at the Bahia, there was Free parking.

Really big room, very nicely decorated, huge big bed, really comfy, bathroom was lovely, great view over the sea, lovely staff, great housekeeping, great breakfast buffet,lovely grounds, and just all round really nice.

Since the point of the trip was to spend most of our time outside of the room, I can't complain too much about the hotel, other than they couldn't give us a king bed as requested and gave us a room with 2 full beds.

I think he actually upgraded our room, because we had requested the lowest price room, which is a garden view (basically two beds and a bathroom) - we were upgraded to a newer Garden View Studio with a kitchenette and living room!

The room we had was newly renovated and the bathroom was particularly nice, the bed wasn't that comfortable but was not so bad we couldn't sleep we got used to it; but it did have an unpleasant odour in the room and dont know what it was.

The waterfront suites (suite should not be taken literally) are 1 bedroom 1 bath units.

The restaurant food is fine and breakfast is very good, but the hotel is only a short walk away from the beach and the sea and some very good and reasonable restaurants ( Luigis for good pizza).

We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, and why would you with the many restaurants of Old Town or Pacific Beach 5 minutes away?

The Bahia has a convenient on-site restaurant and separate bar that we thought had very good food and wasn't overpriced.

Restaurant and gift shop prices were reasonable - breakfast buffet for $8.

The wait staff in the restaurant and bar were right on the ball.

We called the front desk to confirm these features before booking and the staff said the surf beach was right across the street and that yes, all massage services were available at the spa.

We pulled into the lobby area and were astounded how polite the front desk staff are.

The pool and spa are wonderful and the free arcade games and fitness room a bonus.

However, we really enjoyed the pool / jacuzzi.

They had a good-sized pool, jacuzzi, and beach attached to the hotel that was unfortunately too cold to lounge around in.

He was there on business and wasn't happy that the advertised wireless internet wasn't.

Plus if you have a laptop, you don't have to pay for high speed connection.

The bathroom was clean and the grout was spotless but still had a strange smell ( a kinda unclean smell).

The room itself, like others have mentioned, was a bit old and definitely in need of some updating but it was very clean with plenty of everything we needed, and the crib we requested was already in our room.

The hotel was beautiful and clean, AND we got upgraded to the Governors Suite for NO extra cost!

That was the best part- our room was excellent, great view, kept clean all week.

We found the rooms to be clean, neat, and well stocked with every amenity you might want.
