A Hidden Gem in the Jungle

During my stay at Back Of Beyond - Pidurangala, I was amazed by the natural surroundings and the immersive experience it provided. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and the chants of Buddhist monks was truly unforgettable. The location, nestled near Pidurangala Rock and the Buddhist Temple, was perfect for exploring the cultural triangle and going on safaris.

We absolutely loved the hospitality of the staff. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The manager even arranged for delicious sandwiches when we arrived late in the evening. The tree house accommodations were comfortable and had all the necessary amenities, including a shower and toilet. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was located within walking distance of popular attractions. The naturalist took us on an exciting nighttime adventure to find loris animals, and the jungle sounds in the early morning were simply amazing.

Honestly, there was very little to dislike about our stay. The only minor issue was some occasional mosquito activity, but the mosquito nets provided in the tree house helped mitigate this.

Alles was uitstekend tijdens mijn verblijf in dit hotel. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en de service was uitstekend. Het eten was heerlijk en er waren veel mogelijkheden om te dineren in zowel het restaurant als de brasserie. De kamers waren mooi ontworpen en ruim, met comfortabel meubilair en kleurrijke stoffen. De bedden waren echt zalig, ik zal ze thuis missen. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en de kwaliteit was boven verwachting. Overal in het hotel was het personeel bekwaam en vriendelijk.

The food at the villa was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the loris night walk. The location was also great, within walking distance to the start of hiking trails. the staff, accommodations, location, and activities made for an unforgettable stay.

We loved the outdoor shower, a unique touch that added to our Sri Lankan adventure. The internet connectivity was limited, which may be inconvenient for some guests.
