I cant fault this hotel for all round comfort, service and value for money.
I did not eat breakfast at the hotel, as the cost was 17 Euros ($25 US), which seemed quite overpriced, but there are several places nearby to get breakfast or coffee - Starbucks, Cafe Catalunya, etc.
Meals and drinks were delivered quickly and were excellent value for a city centre hotel.
This hotel seemed to be a very good value.
The location was fantastic, the hotel was very well located close to shops and the lobby bar was good.
The location is excellent and the hotel is very well located near the Ramblas without being inside the craziness that is the Ramblas.
The location is great near the main plaza, Las Ramblas and El Corte Angles (great department store) is nearby.
Plenty of taxis stop across the road at the metro station.
It was a good base to start our busy sightseeing schedule being within easy access to the Bus Turistic, the Metro and the Aerobus (we used the latter to and from the airport).

The hotel room itself was great - nice size for a European hotel, extremely comfortable bed, in room safe and television, nice bathroom with amenities.

The breakfast had a lot to choose from, fresh pastries, fresh fruit, cereals along with continental breakfasts such as cheeses and meats.
The staff are the most friendly you could meet, gracious, and very helpful reception, bar, breakfast room, chambermaids.
The reception staff always willing to help, the bar staff made gorgeous Irish Coffees and the breakfast staff kept their buffet well-stocked whilst their customers were well looked after.

My views were mixed on the reception/concierge staff.
The reception staff were bad mannered and rude and would benefit from some customer service training.
Location was perfect, the hotel staff was very friendly and everyone on reception was welcoming.
A pleasant surprise is that the hotel offers free access to a fitness suite complete with swimming pool just five minutes away.
There was access to a complimentary gym, which was good and about 5 blocks away.
Any 'problems' other reviewers have mentioned such as broken lifts and renovations seem to have been resolved and we had a most peaceful, calm stay.
The room was extermely clean and quiet and the staff was very courteous.

Furthermore the rooms were very clean, the breakfast was very good.
