I I thought this hotel was great value for money especially given the location, right in the centre of the city.
I would certainly recommend this hotel as good value for money in expensive Oslo - just avoid the 2 rooms with balconies!
Additionally clean and well-located hotel, they're just better home made, reasonable price --> good for a night or two.
Got a great rate online and when we wanted to stay an extra night, the hotel clerk could not match The online prices (theirs was $ kronors more) so I booked a second night on the computer by the desk and they honored it.
The location was excellent, the situation of the hotel was wonderful and the prices were so high.
Excellent location right next to the main street of Oslo and the spacious room wasn't full of fancy furniture.
It scored high on location, close to all the sights and the waterfront; and the Airport SAS Flybus stops right outside the hotel door every 20 minutes (fare one way 110 NOK but better the return ticket at 160 NOK).
5 minutes by taxi from the bus and train station.
The desk clerk did give me incorrect information on the bus ride to the airport (which conveniently picks up right smack in front of the hotel).
The rooms are extremely small and simple (esp the double bed), and the bathroom does not have a seperate shower, creating a 'wet room' feel.
It was a chain hotel which lacked character, the room was tiny (looked onto the back), you couldn't get the bathroom door fully open as it hit the bed.
Is it so terrible to furnish rooms with a double or queen sized bed people?

Got a great deal for under £50 per night bed and as much breakfast as you could eat.

At 790 NOK per night it was the best town centre deal we could find on a busy August weekend and included an excellent full breakfast in a cafe style restaurant.
Furthermore i feel that the Hotel is very well placed for my requirements, the in-house cafe is also excellent and reception staff could be more friendly.
English,there is no kettle to make your brew,there is hot water at reception,but if you ask the lovely staff there,they will give you a kettle.

If you want to be really picky you could moan about the lift and stains on the carpets like some of the other reviewers but if that sort of thing really bothers you go and pay 3 times the price elsewhere.
