The value for money at this hotel was exceptional, with a beautiful and modern room that exceeded our expectations. The location was great for exploring the historic area, and the staff, especially Emi, were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay.

The hotel breakfast could have been improved with a greater variety of options.

The only thing we didn't like was that there were about 105 stairs to clime and the fact that there were ladies of the nite standing on the corner of the B&B.Plus there is no lift to get to the forth floor.

the building that is the apartment in is very very old and the location of the building is very bad and you can't reach it by car there building has no elevator so you have to use the stairs and carry your own bags for four floors no parking for the building and you have to park your car in a garage far away from the building like 10 minutes walk from the building

We had a fantastic stay at Quarto Piano Rooms. The design of the apartment was stylish and the living area was very comfortable. The host also provided us with great recommendations for local restaurants. Although there were a few drawbacks, such as the lack of air conditioning and the long climb up the stairs, overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

We chose to stay here before continuing on from Genoa to the Cinque Terre and we liked it so much from that first night that we came back for the last two nights of our holiday as well! Absolutely gorgeous, the suite was beautiful (first night) and the regular room (last two nights) equally well designed, with lovely bathrooms. The whole place is very stylish. The breakfast (on the terrace or in the breakfast room) was delicious and Emi and her son were very attentive, making it so relaxing. And the roof-top terrace has a jacuzzi and sunbeds, so we felt even more pampered! Emi and her son were both very kind and nothing was too much trouble. They really made us comfortable, and I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Not a criticism of the hotel at all: - please remember that it is on the fourth floor, that's a lot of stairs! - definitely come with a map, the little streets of the old town can be difficult to navigate.

No elevator

My husband and I liked very much the location and our hostess Emiliana who did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Yes, the stairs to the fourth floor were exhausting, but only for the first two days. Then you get used to it and just take it as a good workout. If you visit Genova, book with B&B Quarto Piano, because you are in the middle of Genova's old center - two minutes to the port and five minutes to via Garibaldi with all the amazing palazzi.

The room was very small for two people and two big suitcases. But they have larger rooms available...

The location in the heart of the old town was perfect for exploring on foot. We were surrounded by charming streets and historic buildings, immersing ourselves in the city's rich culture. The room was large, comfortable, and stylishly decorated, offering a relaxing space to unwind. The breakfast provided plenty of choices, ensuring we started our day off right. The service was exceptional, with the friendly host offering helpful advice on nearby restaurants and attractions.

There were some unavoidable steps to climb to reach the room, which may be challenging for those with restricted mobility.

The host of the b and b, Emi, was a lovely lady. She went out of her way helping us with maps and bus time tables. When we had a very early departure and couldn't stay for breakfast she packed an amazing bag of breakfast for us to take away. Beautiful apartment setting.

No lift is a bit difficult but this was made very clear before we booked. A nice boy was available to assist with our very heavy suitcase so it really was not a problem for us.

I loved my stay at Quarto Piano Rooms! The modern and beautifully designed apartment instantly made me feel at home. The room may have been small, but it was incredibly comfortable with a great A/C system. The bathroom was also fantastic. The shared rooftop deck was a nice touch, although I didn't get a chance to use it. The host, Emi, was wonderful and allowed us to use her kitchen and other common areas. The breakfast provided was delicious and gave us plenty of energy for the day. I highly recommend this place for its great amenities and the warm hospitality of the host.

B&B Quarto Piano is situated in the narrow and not always very clean streets of the old city center of Genova, and that definitively has its pro's and con's. The fact that the B&B is located in the pedestrian zone and does not have an elevator were no issue to us, because this had been clearly communicated and climbing the 100 steps of the black marble stairs of the impressive medieval staircase is good for you. However the prostitutes in front of the building at night and the streamlet of urine in front of the door in the morning were not what we had expected.

The breakfast was superb, with freshly baked traditional cakes and a variety of fresh fruit. The location was excellent, allowing us to explore the old town and port area easily. I highly recommend Quarto Piano Rooms for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
