I really enjoyed hotel's exceptionally nice and unbeatable location!!

Location: the hotel was really close to kalutara and surrounding as well as the shore of the Indian ocean. I was offered a room with spectacular views of the garden and the waterbody.

The location amazing and lovely in his adjoining shop. Not far from secluded beach.

They provided a tasty and delicious breakfast with the talented chefs and excellent many varieties, as for instance. There was a well-maintained room with lagoon view. The location in a very unique area was stunning and magnificent. The airport was 20 km away.

Everything is what i need and want.

The breakfast with the talented chefs, tropical fruit, coffee or tea was savoury for what you got.

The breakfast meal was tasty with coffee or tea and tropical fruit, for example. I didn't want to leave and would consider staying here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Avani! The location was quiet and great, with one side facing a lagoon and the other side the ocean. The staff was friendly and provided good support. Although breakfast wasn't a buffet due to the off season, the set menu with choices was of good quality. The rooms were clean and we enjoyed the beautiful beach and the wide range of water sports available. The pool was just steps away from our room, and we even got upgraded to a sea view room.

Recommend this hotel.

Atmosphere was relaxed and staff were helpful and friendly. The situation between the sea and the lagoon is good as it provides two distinctly different aspects, one is beach and pool, the other is wildlife and more natural. The room was good although it could do with a little updating and more space - no real issue though. The option of outdoor/indoor dining is nice as is the simple pool/bar/lounging area next to the beach. After we had booked the hotel we read several bad reports and made sure that we had an alternative if they turned out to be true. Fortunatly they were not true to our stay and we had a very plesant time so thank you Kani Lanka.

The buffet meals were repetitive and after a few days we were looking for an alternative. Quality was fair though and there was a reasonable variety of choice for grownups but not for children. Watersports equipment is basic and unpowered but ok for some gentle fun. Powered equipment, although desirable, would destroy the tranquility.

Staff is friendly, excellent location.

This seaside hotel is in an ideal location, providing beautiful views of both the sea and lagoon. The facilities are very decent, with a nicely maintained swimming pool and a great breakfast buffet that offers many options. Rooms offer great views of either the lagoon or sea with balconies to relax on to take in the beautiful scenery. On the beach, lifeguards are positioned because the sea can be a little rough during the ongoing south-west monsoon.

The staff service could benefit from more training as some previous guests have mentioned highlighted issues with room service and wait times for refreshments.

A very comfortable place with an easy going lifestyle

The food was bland and overpriced. The service in the restaurant was ill-mannered (e.g. asking for a Lions beer, getting an Anchor beer with the comment it is the same company, while they have a good Lions on the tap)

Hotel staff were very helpful and location of the Hotel is great! Hotel located exactly where Bentota river goes into Ocean, in my opinion best place to spend honeymoons.

food variety in the hotel restaurants are poor, there are only 2 restaurants and 2 bars only.

I recently stayed at Avani for a relaxing beach getaway. The hotel's size was perfect, offering a peaceful and intimate atmosphere. The location, right on the beach, was unbeatable. The complimentary mini bar was a nice touch, and the temperature-controlled pool was a dream. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the buffet breakfast was consistently delicious. The views from the hotel were stunning, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The pictures on their website and Booked.net is nothing like what the hotel is like and the room is a lot smaller and alot older than the pictures. The staff are so slow in getting your orders. I would have definitly stayed in an another hotel had I known. Certainly not value for money and it shouldn't be 4 stars.

My fiance and I were traveling to be married at the hotel. The staff arranged our wedding perfectly, and far exceeded our expectations in their professional and polite manner. We felt well taken care of, with our happiness their primary concern. I would recommend this venue to any couples, as the areas was beautiful, the staff amazing, and the rooms clean and comfortable.

We have no complaints regarding our stay.

Amazing service, helpful and welcoming staff, comfy beds, stunning pool area, great breakfast and evening buffet, nice room service and lunch options.
