Austria Classic Gablerbraeu Salzburg - 萨尔茨堡

Even though the location of the hotel is great, being close to the old city and to the Mirabel gardens, it was one of the most noisy places I have ever stayed in.

The location is fantastic, just across the river from the old Town and close to some of the best restaurants in Salzburg (most of which are on the new-town side of the river).

Wonderful hotel, in a great location with very friendly and helpful staff, what more can you ask for?

We turned up in Salzburg having already booked a hotel out by the airport and were just planning on having a look around.

We went by getting a combined "train- bus - entrance ticket" which we bought at the Train station.

In both cases the rooms were of very high standard and the bathrooms were particularly well equipped (in the treble room, the bathroom was as large as some bedrooms I've stayed in at other hotels!

Firstly, as others have mentioned - this is not a 4* hotel - the bed/bath rooms are of a good size and well cleaned, however are basic.

Our clean and well furnished L-shaped room (a triple) on the 4th floor overlooking the Christmas decorated street, was huge and had a king sized bed and a very comfortable full sized double sofabed which was made up for our daily use.

The bathroom (shower with no bath tub) was very clean.

The bathrooms were clean and well stocked (hair dryer, tub, toiletries).

Breakfast was very good and catered for all tastes, also the restaurant food of an evening was excellent with a comlimentary drink on arrival.

We ate in one of the old restaurants on the first night and the meal was very good.

Apart from one humourless receptionist (maybe she was having a bad day) the rest of the staff, including the other reception staff, were friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff were friendly, the service was very good and the beds were very comfortable.

We ate there two nights in a row - we all had delicious meals, friendly service and fantastic espressos -the best we have had outside of Italy!
