The room was rather small. No ventilation in the room, so we had to keep the windows open, which was no good because of noise from the street.

Located right in middle of Partenkirchen, which puts you within walking distance of shops/restaurants, train station and even Partnachklamm. Don't miss the great views from the 2nd floor (sun room balcony?) and even roof which can be accessed by a metal spiral staircase. It was nice to have a balcony, though sun was directly in our eyes in the morning. There are two pianos, which you can play. Also, a computer in the lobby is available to guests for use. When you first check in, they'll have you sign for a visitor card, which can be used for a 1 Euro discount at Partnachklamm and free bus use.

While the staff spoke English, we were disappointed by how they handled our questions, esp. About cultural events in the area. We had a room with two twin beds, which felt like they were sheathed in plastic and little too firm (and I like my beds firm), but was still able to get restful sleep. The closest parking garage (p12), which is directly behind the hotel, is 5 Euro/day, but it was a little confusing as to how to get a day ticket (If anyone is wondering, you get a ticket when you enter the gate. Throw that one out, and go to the parking machine (kasse) and select the day ticket, 'tage...' (Button on left, 2nd one down), and pay 5 Euro. It'll give you another ticket which you feed back into the parking machine when you leave the garage.)

The staff was helpful with their limited English and our decent german. The day we departed they prepared a lovely breakfast for us, even though the time for breakfast had expired. The bathroom was great - remodled - and the best we stayed in the entire 2 weeks we were gone.

The hotel location was a bit far to walk with luggage from the train station. In the rain (which we were in) was awful. The room was very small. Only one person could walk past the end of the bed at a time. The ceilings are dark which didn't help regarding light. The only lights in the room were a 4 candle bulb from the ceiling and then a candle bulb lamp on each side of the room. Air flow into the room was limited.

Traditional hotel with a service minded staff situated in Partenkirchen. Some restaurants in the area but the main part of the social life is in Garmisch (15-20 minutes walking distance)

The hotel is situated very close to a church. The church bell rings every 15 minute day and night and turn into a Glockenspiel very early in the morning. If you prefer a good night sleep don´t stay at this hotel.

Staff were at all times cheerful, helpful and eager to assist. The hotel was comfortable, clean and well managed,

Bedroom was over-heated and it was difficult to get the temperature down, even after turning off all of the radiators.

Staff was great with every request. Not far from the train station, so that made traveling around a lot more enjoyable.

It is in the most beautiful location. In one of the prettiest and oldest streets in Partenkirchen with views over several mountains. The hotel is beautiful and traditional but with all the modern comforts. The breakfast is worth the visit alone!

The hotel did not see anything strange in rooming my teenage children at the other end of the hotel. My husband found the beds very firm. That said I would go back tomorrow.

Very freindly staff, wonderfull atomosphere. Much more than I expected. Close to the train station. Nice strolls to the river walk, the gardens and the museums. Made reservation for future stay.

The Atlas is gorgeous, located very close to the Olympic Stadium / Partnach Gorge and within a 10 minute walk to the Zugzpitze Bahn it had the perfect location for my weekend. The hotel itself is an antique marvel of rich tapestry chairs and charm. The staff was fantastic and extremely helpful, breakfast was amazing! Fresh squeezed orange juice, tasty coffee, and a buffet of 2 types of eggs, meats, and waffles along with your expected European brotchens, meats, and cheeses. There was also a vino tech with a fantastic selection of wines to choose from. The sauna room was relaxing and had a great view for cooling down.

Unfortunately I have to say the beds. I like a firm mattress but this was like a box spring without a mattress.

We were not able to log on to internet. The worst even was the attitude of the personnel. They simply did not care.

    Good location with ample services.

Less than friendly staff. Room was adequate but overpriced for value provided. No A/C or fan in room. Wi-fi weak and spotty. Breakfast buffet good but staff unhelpful ( employees practically ignored our party).
