The premises consist of a seven-floor building which houses 99 rooms coming with excellent equipment, including 27-inch LCD TV, air-conditioning and ultra high speed internet connection. Some of them have a splendid view on the Parthenon.

The Athens Gate Hotel is located 500m from the Acropolis and 100m from the New Acropolis Museum. The Constitution (Syntagma) Square and the commercial center of Athens are also only 500m away. Monument of Lysicrates and Old Acropolis Museum are about 300m from it. Theatre of Dionysos and Zappeion Hall are 400m away. Hellenic Parliament is 900m, while Benaki Museum and Ancient Agora are about 1km from the property.

Getting there.

The hotel is located exactly opposite the Gate which was constructed by the Athenians to welcome the Roman emperor Hadrian. The nearest international airport, ATE Athens Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, is a 40 minute drive by taxi. The Larissis central train station is about 5km away from the property. The port of Piraeus is located about 15km away.

Getting around.

From the Elefhterios Venizelos airport drive from the Attiki Odos motorway heading towards Elefsina, take exit number 11 Kiffisias and proceed towards Athens. Continue along Kiffisias avenue, which becomes Vassilisis Sofias avenue, then Vassileos Constadinou avenue. Make a right into Vassilikos Olgas avenue, then turn left into Singrou avenue, where the hotel is located. The airport is also well connected to the city centre by an express bus service and an underground line, which stops in Syntagma square only 500m away from the hotel.

A frequent bus service and underground station in Syntagma square also provide easy connection with the Larissis central train station.

The best way to reach the hotel from the port is by taxi. It will take about 15 minutes. Taxis are easily found at the end of the wharf.

Limited garage parking is available at the hotel, subject to charge.

  At night, ancient sites were lit up, and we could enjoy a fantastic view, this hotel made out trip to Athens really enjoyable, the reception and roof top staff were courteous and friendly. The rooms were modern and clean.
