We ate dinner at the hotel one evening and it was of a high standard for a reasonable price.

89 inc breakfast, best hotel value for years.

Wonderful views of the surrounding hills and everything excellent hotel worth the drive from Stranrear.

Ideal location to be close to everything needed for the wedding, made to feel very welcome and rooms are of a very good standard.

Nice location, warm and welcoming after a long horrendous drive, quiet road nearby at weekends.

As others have said - peaceful location, spacious room - furnished to a high standard, great shower, attentive staff (but not intrusive), 'tasty' food.

Modern hotel is lovely quiet location, 1 mile from town (?

It had a king sized bed and the bathroom had a bath and a shower cubicle.

The room was of a good size with a large comfy bed and good bathroom.

We were on the 1st floor and we had a clean, modern room with Super-King size bed, large LCD television, floor to ceiling windows, everything we look for in fact.

Our room was lovely and spacious with a very comfy bed and was well fitted out.

Superb Room,6ft wide comfortable double bed.

The Staff are extremely friendly,the rooms are very comfortable and the food in the Restaurant is very Tasty,along with the Traditional Scottish Hearty Breakfast that sets you up for the day.

Rooms were very clean, the bar was comfortable and food was very good Breakfast was excellant.

Restaurant - Breakfast great, staff ranged from "amazingly attentive" to "rushed by attentive" - but nothing less than that.

Didn't use the restaurant except for breakfast, which was spot on, and yes got toast.

Really good rooms in a modern block behind an older house where the reception, bar and restaurant are situated.

Location were excellent, the hotel staff were very friendly and efficient, the girl on reception was very welcoming.

The impression I got was that the restaurant was understaffed; there appeared to be only two waiting staff on the morning I was there, and this seemed to be the reason for the poor service.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

When the bill was finally presented, the wait staff disappeared and after a considerable delay, I left the table in and went to reception in search of a pen to complete the account.

The Hotel itself is very easy to find with lots of car parking spaces.

Throw in a pool and gym and this place would be well worth even the expensive rates on its website.

On arrival, there was plenty of parking with CCTV for vehicle security.

Bathroom were spotlessly clean, the food was of an acceptable standard and menu had a good selection.

Room clean comfortable and bar - brilliant service.

Also rooms very clean and great breakfast.

Both our room and the public areas were fitted-out to a high standard and were impeccably clean.

The bathrrom was modern and clean but only had a shower and not a bath, which is fine for a weekend visit but if I'd been there any longer I would have been dissapointed.

    The view from the dining room windows was very attractive, our stay was pleasant enough everybody was helpful and staff were friendly and efficient. Bathroom were spotlessly clean, the food was of an acceptable standard and menu had a good selection.

    Fabulous location, a perfect setting for my wedding/honeymoon and every single member of staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was good, i thought the food in the restaurant was really excellent.

    Lovely location in a huge park and all in all an excellent stay. Staff very helpful and pleasant, check-in efficient. Room clean comfortable and bar - brilliant service.

    The modern extension to a beautiful old building and the price they charged me for flowers. Moreover curtains well lined so no light came in and the vegetarian option was restrictive ie the same vegetarian meal was on offer each night. The dinner on the second night was very poor.

    Noticed the refuse bin area to the rear of the restaurant area was strewn and my daughter I'd gettin married at the hotel n I thought was a perfect location. Also the staff were friendly and room & bathroom was clean. The food was exquisite, dinners were very good.
