Asia Hotel Bangkok - 曼谷

Great location, other departmental stores like MK & Emporio and the hotel is conveniently located within a walking distance from the main shopping malls of Bangkok.

The whole hotel needs a bit of tlc but for the price it is luxury in a great location, right next to the sky train.

This hotel is all about location, close to all the main shopping complexes (such as MBK, Center world and Siam Discovery) and with a privat walkway to the skytrain station.

Dont use the taxis from the desks to the airport - they'll charge you 3x as much, just walk outside and get a metered cab (make sure they put the meter on!

We used the hotel taxi to go to the airport and although we knew it was much more expensive (900bht) than a metered taxi we were just happy to not have to fight with taxi drivers at the end of our trip over meters.

Both rooms had single beds pushed together although we had booked for a double bed the room on the 12floor was clean although tired but the room on the 7thfloor was grubby and bathroom had mould.

We had booked a two-bed suite with an extra bed, it was on the 14th floor and had 2 large bedrooms with a large connecting lounge, ideal for the 5 of us (2 adults/3 large teenagers).

The rooms are OK - afterall when you travel all you need is a bed, shower, WC, TV right?

The hotel room has tv with bbc news, room service with good food, a large bathroom with a big bath!

On the first night, we got there very late (1 am) and they had our room ready and got us to bed ASAP.

2 pools, small gym, lobby bar/restaurant, 4 other restaurants (altho no reason to go to them, Bangkok being food capital of the world), mail service, laundry service, etc.

Breakfast is decent for the price we pay, but service of the restaurant reception counter could be sped up as there's always a queue even though there are ample seats in the restaurant.

We dont tend to eat in the restaurant although the food is fantastic as we prefer to go downdown and eat locally there.

The hotel food was not the best infact we ate in every restaurant and the only thing I would recommend was the burgers!

The included breakfast is excellent with a good choice of food.

All the staff, from Reception to the House Maids were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are clean, the front desk service very helpful (we even had them on the phone calling about Muay Thai boxing for us.

Staff on reception could be a little rude and we were told we would have to wait 1 hour for our rooms (at 4 in the afternoon!

Reception staff are worked too hard and might not smile enough too!

Staff from all areas (reception, housekeeping, restaurant, lift lobby) are friendly and warm.

Good breakfast, there is a pool, a small spa, not very nice furnishing but it's ok for the price and the location.

Especially the lady who stand beside the lifts and salute every single guest!

Have stayed at the this hotel 5 times now, for buissness and on holiday and despite the decore in the foyer and the nasty looking website its a big hotel, with lots of facilities and great spacious clean rooms.

Our room was large, very clean,non-smoking, bright (if you open the curtains).

Courteous and helpful staff, clean rooms.

We received excellent service from the moment we walked through the door, which was lovely after such a long flight, the room was spotless and there wasn't a thing to even consider complaining about.

The rooms are large and clean--and have serious retro appeal.
