Hotel Ascot Florence - 佛罗伦萨

The location near the centre of Florence, also many restaurants in the nearby and trying to help.

The hotel is good in location - it's close to the railway statation and it takes only 7-8 mins to walk there directly.

All in all for the money the Ascot served us well and it is very close to the bus and train stations.

Location - On a busy road down from the main station - feel like I haven't slept for 4 nights as it was so loud.

The en-suite facilities consisted of a shower head with no curtain and the water sprayed over the toilet seat and bidet and flowed under the door into the bedroom.

The bedroom window looked out into a dingy alley and opposite were the bedrooms of people in other hotel rooms.

Our "triple" room was just big enough for the double and the twin bed, along with a few random pieces of furniture.

There was NO hot water , The Wash Basin was broken,and would not fill, the bidet was in a position you could not use and when you opened the door to the en suite it hit the bed.

Bearing in mind we only paid £21 each for bed and breakfast the room was better than some B&B's we have stayed at in the UK.

There are several good restaurants near by if you wish to eat out at night and the food is superb.

The mirror was in a stylish old stucco frame, breakfast was okay- neither exciting nor bad.

Breakfast was plentiful and we had no complaints about it although we didn't try the hard boiled eggs!

The breakfast itself consisted of a choice of cornflakes, croissants and slices of stale bread.

There were other disappointments such as asking when the bar would open to be told curtly, "no bar!

The second day we were there, the hotel staff were finally able to locate our reservations but by then we had already found a room at a different hotel because we were afraid that they had lost our reservation.

When we arrived there, the person at the front desk could only find our reservation for that night and could not locate our reservation for the next two nights, so we had no idea if we had a place to stay.

Reception - uninviting and serviced by people who showed little or no interest - e.

Friendly staff and traditional furniture means a 50-year-old stinky wooden wardrobe.

Also the hotel was clean and i found the staff very friendly and helpful.

Florence was beautiful and the staff were nice.

Even had a lovely pool outside(with a diving board) and only cost about?
