location is convenient for the bus to Venice and then its a boat journey so plan your day well.

Good location - very easy access to Venice and a short bus ride away from Venice Island itself.

The room we were assigned was average, with a decently sized washroom and a nice tv; however, the 'double bed' consisted of two twin beds pulled together, which was a tad uncomfortable, especially since the beds kept moving apart.

Our 3-bed room had 3 regular beds (the third one was not a potrable addition).

Our double room was just a bit bigger that the bed.

The guest rooms are tiny, but the bathrooms are even tinier.

While the bed sheets were very clean, the blanket in the "wardrobe" was a little suspect.

If I were to go again, I'd pay a little more and stay in the heart of the Mestre where there are loads of restaurants and shops.

The breakfast was ok though I, too, was annoyed upon realizing that we only really got bread rolls and jam and had to pay more euros to have the hearty meal advertised.

Nevertheless, there was a amazing yet economical restaurant right next door - if you're there, try the parmna ham and the gnocchi which was hearty and substantial; you will never find a meal that cheap and that good in Venice itself.

Breakfast food served by this hotel was really pathetic.

Seeing the huge city of mestre was to me appealing, 30 mins walk or a bus stops right outside the hotel Staff were very helpful for information about finding your way to and room service was fast.

Not a reliable service by Hotel Ariston, and the members of staff who we met did not even apologise for the inconvenience or loss of booking.

Next day, same front desk staff member, said one of us was a fool for lounging in the lounge and then again another outburst which we did not let lie.
