Aquila Atlantis Hotel

The location is great and the hotel is very well located.

The location was good, close to the ferry terminal as well as most attractions in Heraklion.

When exchanging travellers checks the rate was very reasonable -- unlike the 15% commission I was charged at another location.

We got told a taxi was booked to take us to the beach but it didn't show up, we walked down and asked a local instead, who give us very clear directions to the bus stop and how to get there.

However there is an airport lounge feeling with so many large groups staying and can be rather noisy.

The room I got was a standard 2 sigle bed room.

I actually had to change rooms because in the first room there did not seem to be any hot water, though, after I changed rooms, I was later told that the problem was that I did not leave the hot water to run long enough (.

Nice staff - the exact opposite of the Atlantis, comfortable bed and the breakfast is excellent.

We all had clean large rooms with clean huge marble bathrooms, good service at reception, DELICIOUS breakfasts, good location for sightseeing.

We went to our room and found we had to single beds pushed together (a double or more had been requested and paid for when booking).

They also have a nice breakfast, and bar.

Breakfast buffet in the morning was very good, with a wide selection of hot food, cold food and beverages.

The breakfast was outstanding and the staff was very cordial although my 2 trips to Greece have proven that women hotel staff are much more congenial than men.

Breakfast is excellent and the staff seem to anticipate your needs and wishes: top marks for that.

The breakfast was great in the hotel and staff was very helpful and polite.

The front desk staff were helpful, breakfast was GREAT - huge choice plus Cretan specialities and also the waiters were very pleasant.

The Hotel receptionist very helpful and the staff was very friendly.

Note: the pool is indoors, so if you’re looking to sunbathe, don’t stay at the Atlantis Hotel.

Swam in the indoor pool and it was nice and refreshing.

The property features wi-fi internet in all floors, and they have made an effort to bring the property to the 21st century, which is not very often found in such hotels in Greece.

Their high speed internet was out of order.

The rooms were clean and large with balconies.

The staff is very helpfull, the rooms are clean and functional, the breakfast is superb.

The room was clean, breakfast was very nice.

The room was clean and had no smoke smell (something I’m quite sensitive to).
