Clean room on a great beach near excellent restaurants and fantastic location for the price paid.
Yes , units are getting a little old but the location was fantastic!
This is good as there are no buses in this area so taxis have to be taken which can add to the cost of eating out or going anywhere else on the island.
The beach can be very busy, between the Sandals crowd and people delivered by taxi from cruise ships when they're in port.
We stayed at Antigua Village in a one bed appartment, it had two balcony's, a washer & dryer (although I believe the other properties had no washer and dryer), upstairs bedroom and bathroom and slept 4 people (two on sofa bed downstairs.
Bathrooms small and a bit stuffy but good bath products and shower spacious despite the overall small bathroom.
The bedroom and bathroom were upstairs, the kitchen, living room, and 2 balconies were downstairs.
Our room/studio apartment was very large with a fully functioning kitchen.
The two restaurant/beach bars at the edge of the property were very good, all the staff were really friendly and the room was huge for a studio.
Especially liked Darkwood Beach which has a view of Monsterat and great Beach bar/restaurant.
As for the Restaurants on the property the only one we attempted to go to was the Coconut Grove restaurant.
We brought food in and cooked most meals to save money but there were two adorable restaurants two steps away from the complex that we frequented for pina coladas and cocktails.
We tried the restaurants nearby, The beach and Coconut Grove both excellent food and prices are about the same as the UK.
The food at both adjacent restaurants was good.
There was daily maid service - the charge was $20 for the week.
The maid service was every day when towels and bedlinen were changed as well as the usual cleaning, including floors washed.
Good quality toiletries, friendly staff and the maids did a very nice job each day.
Additionally internet is available at office for free, the pool is clean.
The ceiling fan kept the temperature perfect for us and pool was great.
The pool is clean and appeared newly resurfaced.
Or one of the restuarants has free wi-fi and food good.
Poolside beds more comfortable than the beach, the pool area was clean and the decorations were simple.
All in all, if you are looking for a nice, clean room on a great beach near excellent restaurants (in paradise), we certainly recommend Antigua Village.
The staff were helpful and the bathroom was clean.
