  It felt like I was going to slide off the bed as I slept. Overall the room was run down and pretty junky.

  I booked a night at this hotel but due to unforseen events I wouldn't get to the hotel until 3 or 4am so I inquired about cancelling the room on short notice. I was informed that if I cancelled that I had to pay for the room anyways so I said that we would still need the room for a few hours sleep. The hotel may be decent to stay at per other customer reviews, but the staff have NO idea about customer service.

  All in all, it seemed like this room had been used for a longterm stay and hadn't been cleaned for a while. Another room wasn't available so she offered to clean the room herself and so she did, while we went for a short walk.

  We arrived late in the afternoon and the motel was fully booked, so we were glad we had reservations for two nights. Once we entered the room, we noticed the carpet hadn't been vacuumed properly. It looked like there had been furniture in one corner, but it had been removed.

  The TV remote had the batteries taped in, because the back was missing.

  The Black Bear Diner right next door is very good for a diner and the service is excellent. We were also surprised that we had free high speed internet access. With such great service and value, we'll definately be staying here in the future.

  While the staff did not have the correct bed number or size as per our reservation, they more than made up for the lack by providing a roll-a-way for our child and very quickly too.

  When I got to my room, there was a nice condom wrapper greating me at the room. On the bright side, at least their wireless internet works so that I could send you this review.

  The price was reasonable for the accomodations, Internet access and the morning breakfast (Cheerios & Corn Flakes, muffins, fruit, coffee, orange juice, milk). My room was large, clean and the shower worked great. I used the DSL/Cable modem hookup with my laptop with no problems. The front desk even loaned me a Cat-5 cable for FREE! People stay here because they want peace and quiet.

  We opted for the extra room, which I thought was very generous of the management. At check-out they wanted to charge us the price of a roll-away cot for the extra room, even though we'd been told it would be free.

  At check-in, though I'd booked our room months in advance, we were told that there were no roll-away cots available. Either three of us could squeeze into a double bed and they'd reduce the rate by $14, or they'd give us another (smoking) room with a queen bed. However, the room was dirty (everything was sticky! The other room (with two double beds) was a little better, but the phone didn't work, the air conditioner was deafening, the side of the mattress was stained (as if someone had been sick), and the carpeting was dirty-looking.

  The hotel's strengths were its decent rooms, relatively friendly staff, and nice swimming pool. The hotel is a bit hard to find and in a seemingly "backwater" location (there was nowhere open to eat on the night we arrived), and our reservation had been lost (whether by Best Western's toll-free service or the hotel I don't know, but they discounted our room by 10% for the trouble), but for the price it was okay.

• The room was furnished with high quality detail,parking was perfect for a stress-free unload/load, employees quite gracious, professional and genuine.
