Hotel very clean, great location, free wire less internet in room as well as in lobby too vow!
We were visiting friends in Galesburg and notified them we found a hotel in a great location to downtown and their residential area.
I highly recommend you stay far far away from this place, despite it'sgreat location in a nice town.
The location was fine for the few activities Galesburg offers and both front desk people were polite and helpful.
50 + tax for a king bed room as compared to $70 for a single queen room in the Super 8 along the freeway.
The air conditioner in our room was not working, the pool was not heated (freezing cold), the bathrooms were very dirty, and the remote control for the television didn't even work!
It had a low toilet bowl that was slow flushing and the tub had sliding glass doors typical of the 70s.
Big enough room, wireless, balcony, nice bathroom.
For me, I didn't want to even sleep in the bed due to the lack of cleanliness.
It's true there's no free breakfast, but the restaurant was packed with what seemed like locals--that's usually a good sign.
There was also no breakfast like we're used to in the Super 8 motels.
Right beside the motel was the Broadway restaurant were we had a buffet dinner for $7 each--not bad.
There's also a bar--we were there Sunday night on Memorial Day weekend, a night which could have been rowdy (a couple of other hotels were full up with high school graduation parties) but the lobby was quiet when we got there (10 p.
Last summer, we decided to try this hotel in order to be closer to the College and restaurants.
Not in a position to make a big fuss-- was for only the one night, front desk was polite and the receptionist was extremely friendly during check-in was quick.

There is a permanent sign behind the lobby counter that says that the pool is closed for "maintenance".
There was adequate parking, even for our vehicle and trailer.
Thankfully they had a trolley for our luggages and 2 newer elevators.
There was wireless internet although the signal was low.
The only good thing in the whole place, very nice staff and the room was modestly clean.
The rooms were clean, pillows were comfortable and breakfast was good and cheap.
