Downtown Fresno, just minutes east of the airport was an excellent choice; because it was an inexpensive hotel with a nice pool area and hardly any customers [you had the pool to yourself].
There's a Subway in the hotel too, but we didn't use it.
The rooms are very clean, the hot water works, and the toilet flushes.
I liked the overall look of the hotel and spacious for a twin bed sharing.
However, in this room, the wall blower unit that blew the cold air for the air conditioner didn't work!
Downtown Fresno is not the most scenic place, but the way they arrange the ground floor rooms is great.
The room itself was pretty basic, but that's all I was looking for.
The breakfast is pretty straight forward and great if you're in a hurry.
No good restaurants in Fresno though, except fast food and Mexican.
Breakfast was instant coffee, packaged pastries.
There was a complimentary breakfast [lattes, juice and roll].
Downtown Fresno seems to close down early on weekday nights, so be prepared to drive outside downtown to find something to eat during the evenings.
The room entrances are enclosed within a terrace area surrounding the pool, so you don't really see the outside area from your room.
It had a nice little courtyard witha fountain and a pool.
They had both a wired and wireless option.
The subway shop attached to the hotel, the room was clean.
The room did not seem very clean or well kept.
The room is clean, no smell, and the neiborhood is nice.
