The room was spotless with microwave as well as the bathroom, great service. Unbeatable, handy location in Dover, not far from also close to other resturants and a Shoneys restaurant and the nearest CVS drug store in Dover, Ohio.

The hotel is set in a particularly good location not far from the nearest CVS drug store in Dover, and a Shoneys restaurant. And it's by Sugar Creek.

The rooms at Howard Johnson were surprisingly nice and clean. We had a comfortable stay and the bed was comfortable enough. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for a decent stay in Dover.

the hotel was friendly and clean I was booked at an Inn that was really bad and called the best western to Kendra was very helpful with getting me a room for the night and making sure that I was comfortable. She was awesome.

howard johnson in dover exceeded my expectations during my recent long term stay. the location was ideal, with no road noise despite being near the highway. the room was clean and well-maintained, with all necessary amenities provided. the staff, particularly tina at the front desk, were helpful and friendly.

Comfortable beds. Quiet. Free wifi and breakfast.

Room decor was ugly. The paint was so ugly. That made the room feel cheesy and that's why I lowered my rating on the value (above). The bed felt like a $100 per night room. The paint made it feel like a 25 dollar a night room

The pool area was nice and the location was favourable, close to a Shoneys restaurant, also close to other resturants, and the nearest CVS drug store in Dover. The staff were courteous! The room I got was exceptionally clean and updated with microwave and coffee pot, for example.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this older hotel. The female front desk clerk was always smiling and took care of all our requests promptly, setting a positive tone for our experience. The rooms, though outdated, were clean and had all the necessary amenities. We liked the convenient parking and easy access to all rooms on one level, avoiding any hassle with stairs or elevators. The on-site bar and grill served delicious food, and the staff were friendly. The hotel was also easy to locate from the highway.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
