Ambassador Hotel New Orleans - 新奥尔良

While others have complained about the location, we accept that you will walk a bit during a visit to the French Quarter; we actually found it well located.

The Ambassador was the perfect hotel in the perfect location.

The location is ideal, within walking distance to everything.

There were no unexpected charges (we did not bring or rent a car), and had no problem getting to the festival stages or the French Quarter either by cab or foot.

I had to take a taxi there, so no it isn't within walking distance.

Our room not have a window, however we did have a large black pipe running through the bedroom from ceiling to floor which was conveniently located right alongside the bed.

He had requested a double bed room, but they only had 1 bed rooms left.

We had to drag all of our stuff (ourselves, no help offered) to a room with a smaller bed so 2 rollaway beds could be put in.

Ask for a double bed room because it makes all the difference from the single rooms which can be a disappointment.

When we checked in, they did not have our two queen beds, but put us in a suite with a king bed and sofa bed.

There's also a great restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I thought the staff was very friendly and we liked eating breakfast in the restaurant, it was also reasonably priced.

Jazz music flowing out of the adjecent bar/restaurant at night.

The restaurant next door is nothing to write home about but there is plenty of great restaurants in the area.

We went to the restaurant on our last morning but breakfast was not free.

Unfriendly front desk staff, poor house keeping if you stay longer than 2 nights you're guaranteed to recieve towels no sooner great concierge services only if you're tipping or booking a tour.

1 - front desk staff need customer service training.

One note, the elevator bank to this wing is not the one located adjacent to the lobby.

The front lobby/entrance is noisy and disorganized, I found it quite unpleasant.

The inexpensive rates and free parking were not bargain enough for the potential danger.

The cable TV was ok, you had the option to surf on the web with a wireless keyboard connected to the TV.

The rooms were clean, cool, and comfortable.

We read the negative reviews and didn't know what to expect so we paid close attention-the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the atmosphere was delightful.

The room was clean and actually somewhat charming.

I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reiews, but found my fears were totally groundless The rooms were clean, comfortable, quiet and in reasonably good repair ( some rooms were still being remodeled, painted etc.

The room was clean and had everything we needed.
