Fantastic location, friendly atmosphere of the hotel and all the staff were extremely helpful.

Best location and sea facing rooms are great.

Fantastic view, location of Hotel excellent and the service was ver professional.

The free shuttle to the waterfront was very welcome and the hotel was happy to arrange taxis which are pretty cheap.

5-10 minute taxi journey to the V&A Waterfront one way and Camps Bay the other as not much to do around Bantry Bay which is pretty residential.

The hotel is cleverly designed with reception/restaurant/pool/rooms on the shoreline and across the road behind this the ambassador has a large number of appartments with sepaerate bed/bath/sitting and kitchen rooms, all self contained.

We stayed at the Ambassador in March, and although the rooms are a bit small and there was no bath tub in our room, we found the staff to be excellent, and had an all-round good time.

If you do choose to stay in the suite, request for room on the top floor, lower floor rooms are not that good, otherwise just stay in the main building in a sea-facing room, which are small but good.

The 2 bed delux suite was huge and a family of four would have been fine in 1 bed or standard 2 bed but make sure you get a balcony.

I can't fault the view from the hotel and the a la carte food in the restaurant was good, but the restaurant and bar are quite austere - both could benefit from some plants and some furnishing accessories.

Couldn't get to eat in the restaurant which seemed permanently booked by non hotel guests as there are very few bars/restaurants within walking distance.

Comfortable beds, nice bar and the viewa from the restaurant we fantastic.

The breakfast room/restaurant had fantastic views over the sea.

The only down side for us and it was not the fault of the hotel, is that apart from the hotel restaurant there are no other restaurants in the area.

The staff gave excellent service, concierge etc were very friendly and helpful, fruit in room was a nice touch.

Staff at the front desk were polite especially for travel but the service levels for billing etc were poor with loads of errors even though we checked & tried to rectify things 3 times.

Beautiful oceanview from the pool area, the extremely helpful friendly staff especially the gentlemen parked our car for us each day of our stay and the service we received was of a very high standard.

I agree that the general areas of the hotel are a little faded, but found this was compensated by the great service and friendly attitute of the staff.

Secure parking in the underground area with lift access to each floor was brilliant.

Car parking was free & secure which is important as Bantry Bay is a little way out but really convenient for Camps Bay & Clifton.

Best of all was the view from the pool terrace over the ocean especially for sunset and i was made to feel most welcome at the hotel.

Great position, nice staff and clean room.

Furthermore our room was extremely clean and comfortable, the halaal breakfast specially prepared for us was excellent.

When we did get our room is looked very nice, was clean and overlooked the ocean.

Room service every day, bottle of wine and fresh fruit awaited us on arrival.
