This is a comfortable hotel set in a large 19th century palazzo with spacious room on five floors. You can walk to the Piazza San Pietro which makes this a really great location. Internet connections are available and the service is good if not always friendly. Otherwise there isn’t really anything to write home about.

Taking place in a building of 19th century, the Amalia hotel offers excellent quality of services and high-class facilities.


The location of the Amalia hotel is very beneficial and allows you to watch the beauty of Saint Peter’s Square just as you look out of the window, while almost all the area around the hotel is actually a shopping centre. Plus, just a 1-minute walk separates you from the Ottaviano subway station.


Other benefit of the neighborhood is that Amalia is really close to the Vatican Museum and only a little bit further from Castel Sant Angelo. Therefore, using the nearby underground you will easily get to such tourist sights like Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi or the Roman Forum.

        Bathroom very big and new, restaurant and near to The Vatican.

        The window view from my room wasn't that great and unreliable taxi service. Very dirty, little, not very pleasant stuff and not worth the money. The street below is loud, the elevator is very tiny and there is only one.
