All in all The Geringer's are a lovely family who run a very good simple style of hotel and we feel represents very good value for money.
Again Excellent hotel, the restaurant in the same building has very good food and friendly service for a reasonable price.
Good location in the center of Interlaken region just on the road to Grindelwald, fantastic value and the staff very helpful very understandind.
As a guest you receive a card for free allowing you to take any buses and easy access to the mountains.
It's a short walk to the Wilderswil train station, or a bit longer walk on the Wanderweg trail to Lauterbrunnen.
Our room opened up onto a large balcony, which was actually shared with two other rooms, plenty of space for all three rooms!
The beds were very nice to sleep in and sheets towels were clean.
Chalet Hirschen on the corner (nearer still to town) who offered rooms for the remaining night CHF 10 cheaper and in much, much nicer accommodation.

There were plenty of little restaurants and shops and easy access to hiking, gondolas, etc.

Switzerland in general is not a cheap place to holiday, but there is a mix of small family run hotel/restaurants, like The Alpina and a few big corporate run expensive hotels.
Breakfast is continental and everything is freshly baked.

There was another hotel about two doors down where we could "unofficially" use a swimming pool, and with some large hostels in the vicinity there was plenty of activity!
