We were the only guests who had paid full price for our stay as far as we could find out, and everyone else had got cheap deals through working in the travel industry and had been fully in formed of the hotel being incomplete with limited facilites.
We will be going for our 11th time to The Grand Palladium Bavaro Resort in Punta Cana Dom Rep in December, now this is a fantastic hotel in our opinion, cant wait, and probably around half the price.
Nice views from the beach and reasonable hotel.
The hotel is in a lovely location, the Bajan staff are friendly and the rooms are very nice impersonal.

The hotel location is a definite plus and our boys did not want to leave as they had made some great friends.
My husband really wanted to do this, and the owner accomodated him by arranging separate transportation back to our hotel so we would leave for the airport ontime.

We have just returned for a 7 night stay at Almond Casuarina, When we arrived we were checked in very quickly and shown to our room in block 3, a good size but lacking the extra bed we had called the previous week to order.
Hotel is looking really good, the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard, huge flat screen tv's & the beds AND pillows are sooo comfortable!
Beach towels were a bit hit & miss, you can take the lovely fluffy huge bath towels from your room though & they will replace them, all in all, I think once complete it will be fabulous, would love to go again!
Once we shown in we couldn't believe our luck it looked like the decoraters had just left with lovely colours the biggest bed you've ever seen and great view of the gardens and a nice plasma tv.
For us it was perfect - tucked away at the end of the block and the rooms beautifully furnished with very comfortable new beds and Plasma TV.
As of last week there was only one restaurant open where you had breakfast lunch and dinner, so the food choice was somewhat restrictive and all off a menu so no buffet!
A nice plasma tv, the Bar staff are fantastic and the food is great in all the restaurants.
The wave restaurant for buffet style breakfast and evening meals (menu changes after 2 days) The seafood restaurant set on a 'Decking' style location on the beach and Enid's restaurant.
The waters are warm, the bar staff are fantastic and dover restaurant is lovely for lunch as well as dinner.
Located near to the restaurant/bar/nightlife center of Barbados called the St and the beach was great.
There seems to be very little communication between the front desk/guest services & the restuarants, twice we made reservations for dinner, only to find they had been made for the wrong day or not even at all!
The service was fine, the room was spacious and clean, bars - Again staff were brilliant.
Compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Barbados I would say the staff are not slow at all in fact on the whole we have received the fastest service we have ever received on the island.
Restaurants OK, not enough staff, so slow starts and service even with buffets.
The disruption (if any) is minimal now, very little noise, also the gym/fitness suite is nowhere near to be open, but they have arranged for use of the gym next door at Turtle Beach, if desperate!
Although re-done the old swimming pool and children's pool is in the same location and the new crescent shaped room block is where the garden's/beach were.
The beach was beautiful, the main pool area was lovely and overall the place was great.
Our room was lovely and spacious, all finished, very clean and we had the most amazing view over the wonderful gardens.
The bathroom was spotless and food were equally good.
