This hotel, built in 1912, used to be a private palace and was renovated by designer Karl Lagerfeld. It's away from tourists and has economical rooms and suites. They have wireless internet and heated marble bathrooms. The restaurant, bar, spa, gym, and pool also received praise from guests.

Overview

The Alma Schlosshotel im Grunewald is a luxurious 5-star hotel located minutes away from the trendy boulevard of Kurfursterdam in the beautiful greenbelt area of Grunewald. Close proximity of city centre and the Grunwald metro and bus stops make the hotel a perfect base for exploring Berlin’s delights.

The property is a former Pannwitz Palace redesigned by the famous Karl Lagerfeld; now it represents an outstanding work of architecture. Like in a fairy tale you enjoy its historical air and can't help admiring antique decoration mixed with modern fixtures and professional managing. The grandeur of the entrance hall with imposing staircase, large chandeliers, classical piano and freshly arranged flowers is breathtaking.

Each of the 53 guestrooms with the windows overlooking the park surrounding the property, has a unique feel of elegance and prosperity perfectly supplemented with modern comforts: marble bathroom with complimentary bathrobe and exclusive toiletries, hairdryer, climate control, flat-screen satellite TV, Wi-Fi, phone with voice mail (wake-up calls’ service is provided), CD and DVD players, Apple iMac PCs, mini bar, and safe. Ironing facilities, extra bedding/towels, cribs and rollaway beds are provided. An in-room massage service can be offered on request.

Elegant grunewald/Dahlem residential area and beautiful setting. The amazing building, worth the money and the staff is very kind and helpful. Rooms are well maintained, the bar is one of the best in the world and provides a possibility to smoke cigars, the food In Michelin star restaurant Vivaldi Is very good. The spa is lovely and is very clean.

The indoor pool area and jacuzzi/spa was relaxing and beautiful, the atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious. The staff were very nice, the air conditioning had likewise seen better days and restaurant and breakfast buffet were nice, delicious.

The room was very quiet and the area is very relaxing, the atmosphere is fantastic, the staff are exceptionally helpful. For a suite i expect a decent size bathroom and the service is just perfect, and the food delicious.
