  We stayed in the hotel for a mid-week break, tuesday the lift broke & were told it might be fixed next week. Staff brilliant at sorting out problems, sadly fabric of hotel not great.

  The rooms are clean, and the mattress is firm.

  Also, you have air conditioning, double glazed windows, and black - out curtains. 14 metro line, which connects with the train to the CDG airport at the Chatelet station. Make certain that you get an express train to the airport, as the local train stops in several of the unsavory suburbs north of Paris ).

  This is a fairly small hotel but the location, only about 200 yards from the Metro, is very convenient if you are using the Metro to see the sights of Paris. The room we had was quite small but clean & adequate, except that there were no tea/coffee making facilities (we had these at a Holiday Inn Express in London recently & expected them here).

  Well, just as your reviewers stated, the staff was unfriendly (one worker told me that they hate groups, and I was there with a group of students). After they gave 3 of my students a smoke-filled room, we got them to switch it (after much discussion). Well, they were switched to a room with a faulty door (it sounds like it's latched, it appears closed, but it can be pushed open). Unfortunately, we did not find that out until later that evening of the room switch, when one of the students came to tell me that while we were out, their suitcases had been gone through. Several items were stolen from 2 of the 3 students in the room, worth several hundred dollars. Strangely enough, one of the students discovered a folded shirt on the bed that had not been folded when he'd last left the room.

  This hotel is very close to a metro line in a part of town near the university thus it is lively with a number of inexpensive restaurants. The room was pleasant and clean, although a bit small, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a pretty good variety.

  Overall clean with appropriate equipment. Suitable for city trips or business travel. Attentive and sympathetic personnel.

  Wireless network for access to the internet should be installed in every room! TV programs only in french. Some international programs like CNN are missing.

  Upon finally getting our room, I was actually shocked. The room was absolutely tiny, the decor long outdated, the plastered walls filthy, the carpet badly stained, the bedspread dirty and faded and the underneath "fleece" blanket completely worn down. The bathroom was not big enough to fit 2 people and the bath was also filthy. When it came to checking out (thankfully), we had to check out at 6am to make our flight but after ringing the bell at reception for 10 minutes we actually had to physically go looking for someone to check us out, eventually finding someone in the kitchen. This resulted in us having to run through metro stations with our luggage to make our flight on time. Dirty, tiny room and bathroom, broken lock, unhelpful staff, also not very central, no major attractions in walking distance.

  I must admit that I wasn't expecting much from this hotel, we booked it late and my only expectation was that it would be clean and friendly. The room was okay, clean and the location is not terrible but really the attitude of a certain pascal made it very unpleasant indeed.

  The hotel receptionist or "hotel manager" on duty called "Pascal" looked pregnant and constantly in a bad mood. I also couldn't believe that they weren't showing any rugby on their TV's during the world cup. We asked someone to come help us with the TV as we were having problems, after calling twice and having a very rude response, they didn't turn up at all and so we gave up.

  I found the hotel to be clean and comfortable, and the staff were pretty helpful. The hotel is very handy for the subway, which is just a few minutes walk away, and from there, you can get to anywhere in Paris! There's quite a nice cafe over the bridge and to the left (can't remember the name, sorry), and plenty of grocer shops nearby if, like us, you wanted to have your own breakfast in the morning.

  I don't mind staying in a 3 star hotel, and if you are a frequent business traveler as I am you tend to forgive a lot so long as the room is available when you need it and clean. I don't ever remember having a good view from any of the rooms, some face Rue de Tolbiac but it's not that nice to look at (not a quaint French neighborhood but a relatively busy street with an apartment complex on the opposite side of the street). It is small with not very many spaces and a bit difficult to navigate, but very nice to be able to park and take a lift right up to the lobby and not have to hunt for a parking place on the street after a long work day. Also while I was staying at this hotel the new metro terminal was under construction and I imagine it is complete now so easy access to public transport just a short walk away. Also if you take a short walk across the bridge there is a large complex with movie theaters and some restaurants close by (can't remember the name of one restaurant I liked but inside most everything was the color red), there is also a nice brasserie there.

  The problem with this hotel is it is not worth the price charged, typically 125-150 Euro per night. I agree with much of the other comments; rooms are not always clean, trash bins sometimes not emptied, rooms a bit dated and some are very small (even for Paris), front desk always understaffed and usually not that helpful. I think I even stayed in the room with the malfunctioning door lock once.
