The location is great, an easy walk to Montmatre or Opera and convenient to the Metro.

From Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est station, one might reach the hotel within 15 to 20 minutes (but obviously there are also metro and bus connections).

Both "Cadet" and "Poissonnière" metro stations close to the hotel (some 5 minutes to walk), and a bus stop is located at a square only one minute away from the hotel.

Furthermore, the basement of the hotel is rather nice, with a spacious room for breakfast (which is above average for Paris standards), a bar, an internet corner (not for free but moderately charged) and a library / living-room.

There are restaurants and small shops on the nearby boulevard but also the Rue Montmartre, very busy at night and with a huge offer of places to eat, is within convenient walking distance.

The breakfast staff always kept all foods and beverages stocked.

In the afternoon, I spoke to the manager of the Hotel Kyriad about the ridiculous service I was getting, and after much discussion he finally agreed to offer me 10euros by way of compensation.

The hotel is in a nice area and has a very friendly staff.

However, as some other reviewer said, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

While the hotel wasn't luxurious it was clean, in a safe neighborhood and had a mostly English-speaking staff.
