it was close to the McIndoe Surgical Centre and was ideal to stay before and after my operation.

breakfast in room was expensive and when items were missing nothing was done and no adjustment was made to our bill.

The staff was always polite and helpful.

The room we stayed in was in a rather bad condition, with the toilet and water taps broken, and not exactly clean (crisps all over the floor when we arrived). The breakfast was very basic and you better be there at least one hour before they close, otherwise the selection is even more limited.

        It is a beautiful hotel

The rooms were very hot making it difficult to sleep, even in April !!

The grounds and building itself are lovely, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food in Reflections (?) was particularly enjoyable (we enjoyed a very well-cooked steak!).

Unfortunately I was not impressed with what was provided in a 'junior suite' aside from floor space. There were several items within the room which were broken or looking worse for wear. Not only this, but the lack of facilities which more basic rooms in other hotels readily provide, e.g. When we arrived, the room was freezing. However there was no obvious heat source (other than the very hot fridge) and no way to control and 'invisible' heating. Mini-fridge consisted solely of a note informing us we could request a jug of milk (entirely baffling). We requested a bottle of wine to bring upstairs, but were not offered glasses so had to make to with those provided for water. Also - no mood lighting, or bin in toilet.

The quality of the food at AG's

The fact the staff had no record of our booking when we got there. They told us they would upgrade us but didn't. The shower did not work. The room was very hot with no way of regulating the heat (despite all windows open we were very uncomfortable)

We liked hotel location and spa. Spa saved the whole stay as hotel environmemt was extremely disorganised

Room was tiny had no air con windows did not open, asy wife is pregnant it was extremely disapoonting that we had no air flow in the room. Restaurant could work on their menu as it is not worth the price, also there could be some work done on redesigning the dinning area as it looks more lile canteen and does not go with the general image of the hotel. Reception staff was not very professional. In a booking confirmation email check out time is between 11-12pm, 11.10am receptionist called room to say we should ve checked out by 11am. We explained to her that is not what the cpnfirmation email says so she continued to argue the point.. Whatecer the check out time she should never argue with a client over such a thing where other hotels deal w

I have stayed here on several occasions for a spa break and have always found the staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. The treatments and spa facitities are excellent. The rooms are all very different from each other but every one I have stayed in has been luxurious, spotlessly clean and the bed so comfortable. On this occasion I found the service and quality of food in Reflextions had improved greatly from my last visit and I could not fault it. I'd give a score of 11 out of 10 if I could.

Nothing to dislike. I'd say if you did find something not quite right, tell the staff and they are so attentive they would put it right.

Yet another fantastic stay at this lovely hotel. Our room was beautiful and the staff were all very polite, helpful and took a pride in making our stay as enjoyable as possible. The spa area is fab, very relaxing and indulgent. We can't find a single fault with any part our stay and have already decided that we will be returning as soon as possible.

Very welcoming and relaxing - just what we needed!

The food in the fine dining restaurant was excellent although it was served very slowly. Our table was booked for 8pm and we didn't finish our meal until around 11am, which for us was too late.
