Our hosts, our room (beautiful!), the location being within walking distance to old town Placerville, breakfast, almost everything!!
The street was rather busy, but it was a minor issue.

Delightful stay. So many lovely touches from Victorian decor, luxurious bedding to elegant breakfast. Rita is a charming innkeeper!

The staff were extremely warm and helpful. The house was decorated so nicely with sweet little touches everywhere. The train room where we stayed was especially fun for my husband who loves trains. The meals they served were delicious!
It took the first night to get use to the noise of the traffic--the earplugs helped a little the second night.

The experience at the shafsky house was very comforting. Rita is an amazing woman, fun-loving and out-going. She made us feel welcome and at home. We can't wait to visit again.

Short drive to start of Apple Hill, easy walk to old town Placerville. House is very well done particularly inside. Rita is a most gracious host. Made for a great weekend away.

Rita's breakfast was absolutely delicious.
The only part of our stay was the traffic noise. Mostly the trucks and a fair number of loud motorcycles were the culprits. Ear plugs are provided thankfully.

The hosts were kind and courteous without being overly sweet, every interaction was genuine. The house was impeccably decorated and the room was very clean and inviting. The bed sheets were worth the price of the stay alone..or perhaps the breakfast was...it was a fantastic deal, and too short of a stay..we will definetly be back.
