While there were minor areas for improvement, overall, everything was satisfactory.

My sister and I liked the room, the great surroundings, Nicole and the breakfast staff with their friendly, competent manner. From the heart a big thank you. Also the surroundings and the hiking and the many good possibilities were wonderful.

The only thing we didn't like was the gentleman at the reception in the morning, who we thought was the most unfriendly person in the whole hotel. The second day I complimented him on the layout and for Nicole. The drain in our room was clogged, it would be fixed immediately. I thanked this gentleman. Not a friendly word. Today at the settlement of accounts no inquiry has pleased them, no good journey home. That is the only thing that disturbed us. A poor man in our eyes. A pity. The service in albergo gardenia was very good and the breakfast was excellent.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect for me, as it was in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk away from the amenities in the village center by Lake Lugano. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a lovely pool and garden area. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic.

I liked very much the tranquillity and quietness of its location. Conveniently located in Caslano, lake and city center is at walkable distance. Free parking right in front of it. Beautiful pool area. Supreme breakfast in a beautiful garden: weather permitting, a beautiful experience which I recommend.

The rooms were very clean and the staff quite helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with a large selection. The hotel itself is quite charming.

Ridiculously expensive. The hotel was quite isolated and wasn't a destination in and of itself. Despite our pleasant experience, I couldn't justify the cost. In fact, I can't fathom why it was so expensive given its amenities and location. It was about a 25 minute train ride into Lugano and Caslano is not much. Also, we had the family room and we couldn't get any hot water in one of the showers. Fortunately, we had two showers. The rooms did smell a bit damp.

The location was convenient and close to restaurants and shops. The hotel was beautifully decorated with unique artwork and had a nice swimming pool for a quick dip. The hotel's garden was also well-kept and added to the overall ambiance.

Our Christmas stay was marred by poor customer service. The staff seemed uninterested in making us feel welcome and failed to address any of our concerns during our stay.

We were pleasantly surprised and really liked the Albergo Gardenia. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were nice and clean, it was in a quiet neighborhood about 3-4 minute walk from the village of Caslano on Lake Lugano. It is only minutes drive from the Italian border and close enough to walk to the Alprose Chocolate Factory/Museum. The owner pointed us in the direction of a few nice restaurants by the lake. There was plenty of parking and it was easy to find. They had a nice pool and garden area and the breakfast buffet was wonderful! There were also some nice rooms to sit and watch TV or read. It is a very relaxing hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

Good WiFi and nice swimming pool. The hotel has beautiful surroundings, with lovely flowers and trees in the garden. It has a key location that makes it easy to walk to the lake or drive to other lakes nearby.

No restaurant or room service, but it has a bar that lacks staff. Lack of air conditioning in the rooms, only fans, which can be uncomfortable during hot weather.

It was very conveniently located and we were very well treated.
