Perfect location on the sea front near to the pier, the food is of good quality.
The location as has been said was superb, the hotel staff were very nice and the accommodation was excellent.
Clean hotel in good location opposite pier and the staff were friendly.
Parking was less than it would have been as a non-resident,and the location was good,near the seafront,local shops and cafes,and buses.
Would'nt recommend this place - nice location but struggling to keep up with the times.
Our bedroom didn't have hot water and we moved very quickly to another room of equal (I'm afraid!
We had a great room looking out to sea and the pier which was a good size, albeit a very small bathroom.
However,I couldn't bring myself to stay here again,the floor was filthy,hairs in the shower tray,a dirty tissue on the bedroom floor,depressing decor,not -clean-looking tea cups in the room.
The room was dingy, smelly, and toilet was broken.
Both rooms had very old and out of date furniture which had seen better days.
Pleasant bar, especially the breakfast was very good.
Pleasant bar, pleasant breakfast, nice little terrace overlooking the sea and very friendly staff.
Whilst the food was excellent - both breakfast and evening meal, this definitely warranted the 3 star rating and possibly a bit more, but the rooms were very much a disappointment.
Near to the shops, nice little terrace overlooking the sea and breakfast inluded in the hotel fee is not expensive.
When I returned I was placed in the sister hotel down the road which I did not like at all, poor room, breakfast table in the middle of the dining room on my own surrounded by coach parties.
The reception staff were very helpful and the meals were very good.
Additionally the Building itself is beautiful too and the staff seemed to be super organised.
The staff were friendly, but I'm sorry to say we will not be returning and this does nothing to promote the indepently run hotels and I would seriously consider before staying in other independents again.
Relaxed atmosphere, all in all a very flexible venue and friendly staff were helpful.

Fantastic lift with a bench in, as the hotel centrepiece.
The outside of the hotel looks impressive, as does the lobby, but it's all downhill from there.
Thankfully the Lansdowne had one last room available which was clean and comfortable and less than half the price!
