The location of the hotel is very close to the main international airport.

The Airways Hotel has a free shuttle bus from the POM airport, they seem to drive through continuously but the airport door guard / security people also appeared to have a way to calling them.

The scenery, especially in the evening looking down at the airport and the sea, is spectacular.

The bed was a proper double bed, rather than having two single beds pushed together.

I was booked in the apartment style rooms in the second building but soon changed as it had a fair few creepy crawlies in it.

Beautiful setting, very nicely decorated rooms, a great restaurant and friendly staff.

Nice large rooms and great menu selection.

As their motto is here, it is more than just a suberb hotel, with fine restuarants and luxury apartments, I was immensed in the style, tastes of the exotic and unusal, but pampered in absolute luxry.

Both rooms had good air-con is vital in PNG and the Poolside restaurant is perfect for breakfast.

The "climb" to the restaurant is worth the exertion, both for the standard of the cuisine and the spectacular view across the airport to the hills beyond.

One caution: The pool, deli, several restaurants (including the buffet) and most shops are a steep climb from the rooms.

The food is very good for PNG, although service in the buffet restaurant is slow and service in the deli is glaciallly so.

Some waitresses have facial tattoos, some restaurant managers have bright red betel nut grins, housekeeping staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and there is even an "IT concierge" in the business center.

The gym is extraordinary, the spa is lovely, and security is taken very seriously.

From their amazing spa to the diving, te dive center provided a welcome detour in the eat of the tropics and the butlers were truely luxurious.

They have wireless internet available, but at times, the connection would fail throughout the hotel.

The one gripe I have is that wireless access comes at extortionate prices.

The place was good and the room was very clean.

The hotel was clean, service were both quite good and the room was comfortable.

Clean and staff very good, well appointed rooms, nice pool.

The service was unbelievable, its chic elegance shown by the staff and management alike, young and at the same time, freindly, very professional and yet very relaxed, the room was splendid, with everything catered for, if they didnt have it they were more than happy to try to get what ever it was that I wanted to make my stay more comfortable and entertaining. Port Moresby is not the safest or most attractive city in the World and bar area around the pool are a great way to unwind after a stressful day working. The Airways Hotel has a free shuttle bus from the POM airport and housekeeping staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Both rooms had good air-con is vital in PNG and the Poolside restaurant is perfect for breakfast.

Nice hotel and helpful staff. Excellent meeting rooms/facilities handy and a great restaurant. Good selection of italian soft drinks as well and the spa is lovely.
