Airone Hotel Florence - 佛罗伦萨

It was an easy bus ride to/from town and a nice location near the park for running.

To go to the centre city we just tooked the bus 17 that was very frequently and taxis were very hard to come by as well.

Its 30 minutes hike from the train station, through not the pleasantest of areas, the streets have condom machines on them which makes you wonder.

The room was like a prison cell - the shutters on the windows had to stay shut to give any privacy at all due to how overlooked the hotel is, there were no curtains, a grubby bedspread and camp-bed type thing and a foul, stale smell.

Bed was a little uncomfortable, woke in mornings with aching back.

The bed seemed like I would be uncomfortable but it actually was really comfortable and it was quieter than the other hotels we stayed in.

I had a great room with a balcony at a great price.

There is no shower stall, you just sort of shower in the corner of the bathroom so water gets everywhere.

The breakfast was also very nice with fresh croissants (cornetti).

There was no-one to be seen, no food apart from two stale pieces of bread in a bread bin, and a couple of tables with breakfast remains that had not been cleared away.

5 min walk was typical florentine cuisine and i would recommend it 100 %.

When we arrived there the guy on the desk told us nothing about when or where breakfast was or what time check out was.

It is again 30 minutes walk to any half decent restaurants.

Again service brilliant going out of theyre way to cook out of hours.

Great place to park, very good staff to deal.

The service was great they solved ourn problems and the bedding was clean as were the towels.

Quiet as away from main centre of town, help us to find the better places to eat and i think everything is perfect except the lady staff.

The lady at the front desk was unfriendly and was only concerned about getting her money.

Third the staff were terrible, the one in particular refused to speak english on the phone when we wanted to clarify the address but had no problems speaking english when we were in front of him.

The 'garden area' that is mentioned on both the Ryanair and the hotel websites consisted of a couple of concrete slabs and a few plants!

So after shower we have to clean up the bathroom.

The bathroom, on the other hand, was clean and looked like it had been modernised fairly recently.
