Ai Mori D Oriente Hotel Venice - 威尼斯

When we complained about the location of our room (I wouldn't walk down an alley like that in my hometown), we found out that there was a nicer room, located in the main building that was available.

The location is horrible as it is located on the far side of the island so you can only get to and from you room via water taxi, which can run you up to $100 per trip.

Its location in a residential neighborhood in Venice I found to be a real plus.

Also treat yourself to a Water Taxi on the way back to the airport, bit pricey but you are picked up outside the hotel and its a real hoot!

We arrived at the Marco Polo Airport and took a water taxi to our hotel.

Our room had one queen bed - even if it were two beds pushed together, no one fell through any crack.

The only bad point was that when we got to our room the bed (even though we are married) was two singles put together but the beds were also made seperately and pushed together.

The bathrooms are nice and the rooms are decorated very charming, but I could not help feeling Closter phobic in the room with the window looking out at the wall.

We had room 502, on the ground floor near the back, out of the way and no views out of the window, but the room did'nt need them, Comfortable beds, good bathroom, excellent room service, only needs tea and coffe making in the room to finish it off.

The rooms were beautiful and the bathrooms were well appointed with heated towel racks and bathtub/shower combinations.

The hotel doesn't have a restaurant (it does a lovely breakfast tho'), but there are plenty of nice, authentic bars & restaurants around, the Antica Mola on Fondamenta Misericordia being one.

There was a good selection of food for breakfast and there are several restaurants nearby.

The breakfasts here were the best that we had in Italy, anyplace that lets you have Nutella chocolate on hard rolls for breakfast is an A+ in our book!

The staff was pleasant and professional; breakfasts are festive although the breakfast room is smallish.

The only bad points were the breakfast and hotel bar.

The staff all spoke English (and I imagine a number of other languages) and were impecably attired in full black jackets for the Reception and Bar Staff and Bell Hop Uniforms for the concierge.

The waitress was very nice and the reception staff extremely helpful and friendly, so if you need any advice ask them.

The front desk staff is exceptional, especially Marco Musco, the manager.

The Hotel's shuttle, I believe, runs every.

The housekeeping was also of a high standard.

People with disabilities certainly need to point out that they need to be either on the ground floor or have access to the (small) lift.

There is NO wireless high speed anything in Venice - so don't count on getting any work done while you're there - but that's half the fun of going - isn't it?

The room was lovely and very clean and the hotel itself is beautifully decorated and spotless.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean.

The bathroom was amazing as it is brand new and spotless.

We had a lovely view of the canal and the bathroom was spacious and clean.

The dining room was cozy, clean, with friendly and accommodating staff.
