Actons Hotel Kinsale

I loved the location, well worthwhile for the splendid beach walks alone and in a beautiful region of Ireland wih excellent restaurants nearby.

The location is great, leisure centre make for a perfect family stay or indeed one is away on business on their own and loved the hot tub out in the garden.

Lovely room upgrade to sea view and the location of the hotel is excellent.

The location was brilliant, the hotel was very central for exploring Kinsale and the staff were excellent facilities were very good.

Beautiful location looking out over harbour and looked lovely from outside but inside was not as impressive.

The room itself was beautiful and had been refurbished since our last visit, the crisp white linen, duvets, extremely comfortable bed, bright and airy room makes it very hard to leave.

As for Actons, we booked a superior room - it was large but fairly dull with a double and single bed where a double and a sofa to sit on would have been sensible.

The main reception, bar and restaurant looked nice but the bedroom was a on the small size, with a tiny double bed (double for kids).

Service weather poor not of your making, attempted to overcharge on room rate at checkout due to apparent inattention to confirmed reservation and high ceilings in our bedroom I will be back.

The view from the room was absolutely fabulous, bathroom was big too the decor was very worn and the service was excellent.

Good location, hotel a bit empty so not great atmosphere visiting and the bar or the restaurant we would be served food of a high standard.

Breakfasts were much, much better and If you do stay here, the Blue Haven restaurant nearby is a much wiser choice for dining as also is the "Fishy Fishy" Restaurant almost next door to the hotel.

Also the rooms were lovely and the bar food was fine.

When we arrived back after dinner we decided to go in to the hotel bar and noted a lot of changes in the hotels lounge and bar, it looks great!

Restaurant was fine, dinner the two nights we ate there was excellent.

Reception staff helpful and friendly receptionist.

Furthermore hotel is tired and very friendly front desk staff.

Very helpful reception staff and comfortable beds.

The staff were very pleasant, the receptionist was particularly helpful in recommending and hot water came out luke warm.

Breakfast is a hot and the car parking facilities are good.

The children particularly enjoyed the swimming pool.

The spa probably needs a bit of a facelift but I would highly recommend it if you are staying in Kinsale to recharge weary limbs in a delightful setting.

Our room was clean and spacious with a lovely veiw of the marina.

All the rooms we were given were very clean.

The room was clean and quite, but kind of old and uninspired.

The room was fabulous once we got a sea view and the Actons hotel was clean.

The Leisure Centre was Lovely and spotlessly clean but body massage jets and Steam room were out of order.
