Acqua Vatos Hotel

The location was perfect, the hotel was located within a short walk to the beach and the staff were only too happy to accomodate you.

The hotel is situated in the square of kamari which is less than 2 mins walk from the beach, bars, restaurants etc but yet is still in a quiet and relaxing location.

The hotel's location is ideal: very close to the beach, shops and restaurants.

We booked direct with the hotel and the taxi from the airport was 12 euros and took 5-10 mins.

The taxis round the island are reasonable (about 15 euro to Fira, 20 to Imerivogli) and buses are really cheap.

Junior Suite which was decorated beautifully and consisted of a living room, separate bedroom, bathroom and a large veranda (there was not really much a view from our veranda, but it didn't matter to us).

We had a family room which had a double bed plus a single sofa bed, and then a separate small room with a single bed that our 3 year old slept in, plus a bathroom and private balcony.

Our room was quite tiny, we had a leaking toilet, a small balcony and we both could hardly sleep because the bed was really uncomfortable.

Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels and bed linen within the week we stayed.

We had a Master Suite (bedroom/livingroom/bathroom/2balconies!

There are lots of restaurant choices, but our advice would be to stay away from the restaurants on the seafront as they are more expensive than the more authentic tavernas 50m or so up the side streets.

Our balcony was lovely, all of the restaurants we ate served fantastic food and the cappuccinos were excellent.

Kamari, all of the restaurants we ate served fantastic food, the cocktail bars were nice and chilled out.

The hotel is very nicely located in Kamari, just two minutes from the beach and a few steps from the bus stop, supermarkets, newstands and restaurants.

The hotel has an oversized pool, lounge and breakfast area and is literally 10 meters to the bus stop and 5 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the main seaport making all areas of the island very accessible.

There really is not enough space here to talk about the staff and service.

Ok the hotel staff were very friendly above average service that I'm used to so thanks George and Alina.

The staff is great, not to mention the incredible language skills of its manager Severino and room - The honest description is adequate.

The swimming pool is huge and so is the fantastic garden arount the Hotel.

The proprietars have created a lovely boutique style hotel minutes from the beach - not that you will need it as the pool is superb.

The pool at the hotel is much larger than at most hotels in Santorini, and has very comfortable chaises; it is a great place to swim, relax and read.

I was surprised that our room floors were layed with marble like material giving it a clean fresh look.

The rooms and public areas at the hotel are kept spotlessly clean.

The decor of the room was modern, simple and clean.

Also the rooms are clean, the breakfast is great and the owners are amazing.

The rooms are spotless, the breakfasts are great - lots to choose from.
