Good stay for your visit to the Lake District. Lovely, particularly good location for somewhere to stay in the area. Based next to shops, walking into town for food/drinks/shopping and an easy drive to all the hikes and walks in the lake district and restaurants, especially Kostas a Spanish place with tapas and paella.

No complaints, loved this place and can recommend. Thanks very much everyone for a lovely stay at acorn guest house- such good value for money. The location of the property was lovely, to the lakes. And it was just a pleasant stroll away from Villa Bianca Restaurant, ate there couple of times. Really caring staff, provided information if needed.

It was truly a such wonderful stay for two nights, the hotel met what was needed. The room was beautifully maintained and equipped with a bath, good TV, for instance as described. Loved the marvellous location of to start the Coast to Coast cycle route. We had early meal in My Kebab, based nearby.

The hotel is fairly clean with very efficient service. Great bed in a well furnished and well-organised room. All in all good setting just off bars, surrounding areas and the railway station. Easy walk to Christ Church.
