Accome Julis Prague

The location was fantastic, right in the middle of the main shopping area but close to the old town district aswell.

Mala Strana) In a perfect location on Wenceslas Square, close to the important stuff (old town square, charles bridge).

Having researched suitable accommodation in Prague, (using Trip Advisor, as always), prior to our weekend away, we were looking for affordability, a great location and reasonable rates.

The women on reception were really friendly and helpful, they arranged transport for me to the airport which was cheaper than the taxi ride in from the airport and the driver came up to collect my bag I did'nt have to lug it myself.

The staff was very friendly and assisted with ordering a taxi for the airport and provided wake up calls.

Room was spacious, spotless and very well equipped with bed, sofa, dining table and chairs, TV; kitchenette with Hob, sink, microwave and dishwasher; ensuite with bath and shower over (a bit feeble, but ok) Free safe in room.

However the room was great - fairly large, spotlessly clean, all of the amenities you would require - en-suite, sitting and dining area, very comfortable bed, TV, small kitchenette - all furnished to a very high standard.

The bed was great and it was very warm inside so we had to keep window open so room will not become a sauna.

There was a separate room with another bed.

The little kitchen are would be great for many though and the room , although for some weird reason as single, had not only a large single bed but also a table with 4 chairs.

Breakfast was adequate with a reasonable selection of continental food, but not as extensive as some equivalent hotels we've stayed in.

We asked the front desk where a good restaurant would be that served authentic Czech food.

One thing we noted was that prices in restaurants etc vary quite a bit.

Breakfast was excellent, there was a great variety to suit all tastes.

The free internet access was great and also the breakfast I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The staff was extremely friendly, and the front desk ladies certainly knew the restaurants in the city.

If you want fancy reception areas, uniformed staff, a selection of bars to spend your evenings at and a full leisure club, don't stay at the Julis.

The pool is being refurbished they tell me - the front desk staff were fine but again, not what I thought for this standard hotel.

For those who needs internet even on vocation, it is free and availbale in the reception area!

Hotel has an arragment with World Class gym where sauna and pool are located (VIP membership, so there were hardly any people) and it is FREE for Julis guests as long as you do not use work-out equipment.

If you want to work out, it is like 10 US dollars, but we enjoyed pool with stream jetts and hot sauna.

We went to look at the swimming pool and sauna which are advertised at the hotel.

The hotel room was a good size and exceptionally clean.

It was a really lovely room with a luxurious feel, everything was really clean and well serviced.

But the rooms were big clean a really comfy.

The room was ok, clean and nice enough, though certainly not worth the almost £100 a night we paid.

The breakfast room upstairs is very light, and the cold buffet is plentiful, with the exception of a lack of fresh fruit.
